Nightshade 18 Enclosure Recommendations
jcarter1885 replied to thebiggmann12's topic in Sundown Audio
Did you try searching under the Sundown thread to see what most people are putting their 18" Nightshades in. There are plenty of topics under there that talk about, you should give that a try. -
Looks like it may be one loud ass Jeep, when is the installing gonna begin.

Foam sub box lining affecting tuning?
jcarter1885 replied to Outbacksound's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
If your gonna build a sealed box bigger than recommended then you should just go ported. A ported box shouldnt even cost you more than $10 - $20 in wood if that over the price of a sealed box. -
Hey that is picture for ages, people knocked the hell out (the girl looks pissed "Like I wish I could fall asleep but I cant so I gotta listen to this ").

New Setup, Starting from Zero. Tips Welcomed!
jcarter1885 replied to slim142's topic in Fi Technical
Big 3 is usually done in 1/0 awg wire and is pretty easy to do depending on your location of alternator and battery. For wire I use Kicker Hyperflex in my last install and in my new one I will be using KnuKonceptz wire, cheaper and supposedly more strands than Kicker. -
Considering the RL-P is more an SQ sub, I would say the RL-P would suit you better than the Audioque but your first post states two different goals (SPL and lows). But after your second post you want lows all day long so I would go with the RL-P

Please read noob posting guidelines before posting again, this is a useless topic (wont help you or others). Thankx

oh boo hoo Quit your bitchin', most would kill for that situation I can eat all day long without gaining weight but I damn sure dont have a flat stomach ( I can never get fully skinny). My only downfall is eating late at nite, for some reason no matter how much working out I do that will put weight on me fast ( I gained over 10-15 pounds in less than 2 months by eating late every nite).

No txt'ing grammar. Proper english only. what if your texting grammar is proper English Acceptable. Hot coworker and I had a discussion about this today, like her pet peeves of using short words in texts, and my pet peeve of not using the correct form of the word (their, there, they're, etc.) as well as sentence structure. But we also talked about anal sex, BJ's, having threesomes, etc. It was a fun day! She said her, a couple people she knew, and her husband's mom and grandma were playing that "I've never" game, and my coworker wanted to embarrass this girl she hates that was there, so she said I've never done anal, and her husband's grandma said she had! haha. Haha, now that is hilarious right there ( I couldnt even look at my grandma the same way, I would probably avoid her into just those words from that event left my mind). Good conversation at work though, interesting and helps time fly by.

Yeah a ported enclosure usually does sound louder than a sealed enclosure (more output with ported enclosures) and once they continue to break in the will be louder and lower.

Electrical help
jcarter1885 replied to CrownVic's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Damn your getting raped for those terminals, I get 2 for $5 and 5 for $10. They are usually cheaper online but you have to pay for shipping and handling and then wait for them). -

What kind of terminals are those on the 1/0 welding wire for the ground wire you did? -
35Hz and above would be a good place to start
-
Even though your speaking spanish to me, I get the drift to much damn power for those little beasts but they held their own in that battle (good numbers man, keep up the hard work on making me some future subs when I decide what I want).

Glad you could join us and thank you for following the rules when posting. The reason why XS Powermaster batteries are better because I think they have the highest float charge out of all the brands (the others will still do the job and well at that). The Sundown SAZ-1500d will do fine on a BTL, but since you plan on getting two why dont you just save up and buy one SAZ-3500D but either way will do the job. -
Electrical help
jcarter1885 replied to CrownVic's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Yeah take pictures but that would help. Your setup sounds like mine because my battery is in the back then the positive wire goes from the battery positive terminal to the fuse box under hood, then a wire leaves the fuse box and goes to the starter, then a smaller wire leaves the starter and goes to the alternator. Thats why I only did the grounds so far, 2 of the Big 3. Were in the same boat, thats why I said you could do your grounds first since the positive wire wont be done right away (you will be safe with bigger ground wires than positive wires, than vice versa). I get my ring terminals from a local car audio shop or online (the only places I know that carry ones bigger than 8 gauge). -
