So you already bought the products and know you want to ask the question, why would they be too much power for the subs. I hope you got the Dual 2 ohm version of the subwoofers. Please read new member rules before posting again. I hope your electrical can handle all that or you just wasted some money.

I have some Infinity Kappa's if interested or still looking, great speakers (sound ver clear amd crisp).

Your the type of person who will never learn anything since you want the short cut or the small version, when it comes to car audio you will continuously damage equipment.

Looking to buy a 1500watt AMP Need Opinions
jcarter1885 replied to Steveman09's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Kickers have a set subsonic filter on them so you would have to build your enclosure if ported around the range or more (so it leaves you few options tuning frequency wise). -
It might be the box since you used plywood and mdf together, did you get the sub used?

SAZ-2000D vs. SAZ-3000D
jcarter1885 replied to SynCity's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Im assuming your talking about thr SSA Icons right? I think the SAZ-2000D will do them justice, but if you have the money to spend and want headroom or for possible upgrades in the future then get the SAZ-3000D. -
its net space, its a 5 inch port tuned to 38hz.. as said earlier though, i want better sound quality. which is why i would like a sealed box, but i also want to be able to feel my bass. You could also try tunning your enclosure a little lower than 38Hz.

The reason why your setup sounds like ass is because your choking the subs, buy what can fit in its recommend box (dont just throw as many subwoofers in your trunk that you can). You need to measure your trunk and find room for amps, batteries and how much max dimensions you have for a box. I think the most room you have is probably good enough for 2-12's or 1-15" subwoofer (maybe 2-15"s but I dont remember Malibu's having big trunks).

If you used right then yes it can work the question is for how long (most amps when ran under ohm load stability it usually hurts the amp over time.

The only reason I said it was the biggest because that is what msnbc said when they were covering the story, honestly I dont know whats the biggest or where most are located.

suggestion on 12" subs in a ported box
jcarter1885 replied to Dangerous10k's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Yeah an Audioque 2200D will do fine on them if thats the amp route you want to go with, just make sure you get dual 2 ohm version so you can get the most out of subs and amp. -
Do both when it comes to fans, one blowing on the amp and the other sucking the hot air away and that should work. Where is the amp mounted?

Haha now that shit is hilarious, I cant believe he/wannabeshe did that (even if that was a Halloween outfit still gone to far) .

But they pack alot of power for their small size, love my SAX-125.2 .

Yeah man they are out here going Mayhem in Fort Hood, Im just curious to how this could happen especially on the biggest army base in the country.

Yeah, just referring to how it's nice to see a topic about impedance and not impedance rise. There has been a topic on impedence rise thats why we didnt discuss it, plus we need the basics so people can stop cluttering the board with things that should already be known (people need to understand the basics before we move into advanced discussion).

Plus it's less work, not that you mind anyway. How is testing coming along?
-
Dude from some of your posts you have ZERO room to talk about people not knowing things. Haha, no love over here .

Yeah Soundstream is a good company. -
Since I want some of these I would leave them uncoated so people can see the addition of new upgraded parts but I guess its hard to tell without a one fully put together. I think either way will be a hit, do you have an extra one you can powder coat so you can do a side by side comparison. Thankx Jacob your the man .

Trust me very easy or they just dont take the time to search how to wire a woofer like most of us do before asking quesions (most people only ask questions after searching and need more info, some people just either ask question before searching or grab the subwoofer and put speaker wire and press play/eventually damaging something).
