Well just purchase your subs and amp and call it a day, I would go with 12"s since you probably should have the space recommended for them. Yeah I do feel you on that being the first owner, especially when it comes to electronics. The 3500D will work fine on those subs and will have to hear this in person when it is complete (if you need assistance Im here, by the way do you have any tools since I dont have any and dont want to pay anybody an arm and a leg to make me a box?).
-
I would say get the SAZ-3500D and you will be cool or you can find a used SAZ-3000D and it will work fine. What is your budget, that will help us decide whats best for you? Also do you want new or used?

No problem at all man.

x2, I got 47 also. I can punch better when the smell of blood is in the air

Yeah and the box can be around 1.6-18 ft^3, doesnt have to be 2ft^3 but yeah the 10" would be better if 2ft^3 is the biggest enclosure you can fit.

Electrical help
jcarter1885 replied to CrownVic's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Well how big is the wire that is on there now and how big is your alternator? -
Yeah you can either daisy chain the sub and send one set of speaker wires to the amp or you can just run all one wire from all four voice coils and match them up to a speaker terminal on the amp. +1 on sub to +1 on amp -1 on sub to -1 on amp +2 on sub to +2 on amp -2 on sub to -2 on amp Either way will yield in the same results.

The Icon will work well on 600 watts since there is no such thing as underpowering a subwoofer, just send it a clean signal and dont clip the amp (you will be okay). If you want to make the box bigger it would help with the low amount of power you will be sending the Icon.

How do you figure they were designed for sealed apps, please explain this one?
-
Just do the Big 3, get some good batteries(primary and secondary) and you will be okay till your able to find a better alternator. Just because some sites dont have one listed for your car doesnt mean that dont have one for you (just call them and see, thats the best way to find out). Just my .02

Glad it worked for you, yeah usually with electronics if you get them a little wet the best thing to do is try and open them up and blow hot air in them (blow dryer if possible). Be aware sometimes it can shorten the life spand of it also, but I hope all is well for you in the future with amp. Good luck . -
I have one and I like it a lot. How do they compare to other 15s? Well they are the same size. What 15s are you talking about? Compare how? Haha, good one. Check out his page: If you look at the review links, this dude did a test between it and other 15"s and it performed better than them all.
-
Yeah if you want to seal off the trunk then face them forward, you are also going to have to cover up the sides so the whole trunk is sealed off from the cabin area. No problem man and good luck with everything, I get my Z15 on Friday .

You can get stuff for way cheaper than that on here: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/store/categories/Package-Deals/. If not interested in any of those package deals then look for individual things on the store site and make your own package. Those Steg amps dont look to special and only one amp is .5ohm stable, but never messed with one so I cant give any experience on how they perform.
-
Regardless if you work at a shop and you can get a deal, you should still have budget on how much you want to spend on a 12" subwoofer (it doesnt have to be exact but a price range) so we know what direction to take this.
-
Personally your car will not be able to handle that much power unless you make some kind of electrical upgrades. What is your budget?

18"H x 37"W x 25.25"D (Outside dimensions) 16.5"H x 5.5"W x 13.85"L (Port Dimensions) Port Area = 90.75in^2 / Port Area Range = 80-107 in^2 6.66ft^3 @ 35Hz. Here is a little something till you get what you want if it doesnt work out for you.

ok i think i'm more in the 31-35 hz b/c i think if i go with the 29hz and below i might miss the high bass notes Yeah you have to make a compromise sometimes when it comes to tuning a box.

Welcome and glad you could join us . Yeah I would of took the top off and used the blow dryer when it first happened, be careful if you try and wipe it down on your own. Move your amp in the future also. -
Once I get my system all set up, Ill get some pix for you guys. BTW I really need some box design help so if you do that kind of stuff let me know asap! Were gonna need the max dimensions of the area you want to use for your subwoofer enclosure (height x width x depth).

Well thanks for the input, my questions have helped me and the OP at the same time. -
What do you mean by really deep bass? This is not official or anything but tuning kinda falls in these categories: 29Hz or lower (great lows, ok output) - Low End Monster 30-35Hz (good lows and good output) - Daily Driver 36hz or higher (ok lows and great output)

jcarter1885 replied to vial's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Yeah he needs a 2 ohm stable amp or one that puts out the power he needs at 2 ohms since he has 2-Dual 2 ohm Kicker CVX's. OP now that I thought about it why dont you just sell your 750.1 and get a 1500.1 from Kicker. -

So your saying that if your a true SQ head then the H701 would be for you and if your just the average user who is trying to tame there active setup then the imprint is for you? -
