I was going to say the same thing, just make sure you clear the cart and remove everything after you go through the process.

Keep the work up man, any pictures of this or the setup where it is now.

Nice video and that 125.2 is doing its thing on that subwoofer. Yeah that video has me wanting to install mine asap, I only heard mine on home stereo at 8 ohms (so little rms) just to make sure it works. Thanks for the video man.

Your input on my component system
jcarter1885 replied to deanmpereira's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Thats a good idea, usually when riding around I keep my eyes wandering so I can find shops and remember where they are at so I can stop by when Im in that area again. I love just visiting shops to ask them questions to see what they sell, know or if they can help me out. -
Man who gives a fuck if someone does break the rules, it doesnt mean you have to either. Just because you see someone doing something doesnt mean you have to, for real man be your own person. Yeah rules everywhere in life are bullshit, there only there to better you. Yeah everybody doesnt follow them but only a certain few get called out on it, its the same way with the police dude (you cant go around crying about it). You just gotta understand thats life and some people pick on others because they probably got picked on growing up. Your battling something your gonna lose because you already know all the old people here are more than likely stick together and rally. If you dont like how they handle shit in here, then its simple man use the rest of the site for the information at hand and leave this thread alone (it wont kill you if you dont post in here). Everywhere you go: police officers, principals, managers and bosses use and abuse there power because they didnt have known while growing up. Its nothing you can do about it but just laugh it off because they only get benefit from it if you let it get to you.

Alt, Batt, Wiring for 4kw+ in Alero
jcarter1885 replied to RE XXXv3's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
First of all search and find what is the biggest alternator made for your vehicle, two to three runs of 1/0 awg should be fine and the battery scenario depends on alternator size and what battery you get. So after finding what alternator you can get we can go from there giving you accurate advice rather than just guessing. What batteries are you looking at? and so on. Thats why I said give more information or you will get post like the one above just guessing (its a good guess but it doesnt help specifically). Read new member posting guidelines before posting again to get the best help possible. -
Man leave it alone it is starting to get old, it's simple just post right and use the right grammar and spelling (which is part of the rules). This is getting lame now, Im street smart too but that doesnt mean you take that everywhere you go. You gotta learn when to grow up and let it go or being street smart will be the reason why you street dead. Anybody can be street smart but it takes a better man to better himself in all aspects of life instead what you see, do or experience on a daily. The same I have been trying to tell my brother these last few years and he listens and he is worse than you. Im tired people using being in the streets and all that shit as an excuse, you can better yourself you just choose not too. And so what if people say smart shit: number it's a computer and everyone can sound tough on the internet and probably just punks in person, number there just words (if you let words hurt you then your hurting your life man since people are going to say what they want anyway). Just brush it off and move on, no point in having a word battle that nobody is going to win.

Punch bass
jcarter1885 replied to RaTtLz's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Actually yes it does, it is not a good thing to use bass boost. There are plenty of post on why it is not good to use, OP if you want to understand why not then make a search under this thread to see why not. Your are good without it, if it was a remote gain knob then you would need it. -
To me that video didnt prove jackshit, a 22" subwoofer should be able to get into the 150's with ease or it would of been a waste of money and parts if it didnt. Just my .02

x2, I am the same way. One good thing about me is I have had police behind me or turn around looking for who was beating but since I have a Saturn Ion they just keep going like "This dude doesnt have any beat." Lucky Me.

Thank you for everyone who posted on page 2 and was honest with this dude, dont put 4600 watts on your subwoofer. Just because someone has that on there's or more doesnt mean you can (it depends on how long, the box size, the install, whats the purpose). Why would a company give you a peak number when rms (contiuous power) is what you need to know. The peak power is when it blows, so keep that in mind. Just sell your amp and get you an amp that can go do 2000-3000rms at 2 ohms and you will be fine, and make sure you upgrade you electrical. I wouldnt start throwing huge amounts of power unil you have experience, the skills and the know-how to do it. But if you want to damage your baby, then go ahead be my guest since it is your equipment. Just my .02

I am really curious to see what happens with PPI. I hope it will not just be a high end name that is slapped on mediocre products, much like MB Quart etc. Wait! I thought PPI was a part of DEI, or did they drop the brand now? Maxxsonix has MB Quart now too dont they? Dont know about PPI but I do know that Maxxsonics has MB Quart as there front running, quality company.

Fuck the story how did she look?
-
No. Impedance has nothing to do with "harder" (whatever that is) or "deeper." If you had an amp that had an rms of 1000watts at 1 ohm, 2 ohms, 4ohms then it wouldnt matter what you wired it to because those 1000watts are gonna sound the same across the board.
-
Naw Im taking my time on this one and doing everything right incase I upgrade in the future, no shortcuts on this install just to hear it.

Naw its nothing wrong, now all you have to do is play the waiting game thats all. The more you think about it the longer it will take, the less you think about it then the quickier it will show up (thats what I have learned).

Just relax man, your sub will come to you. Yeah sometimes fedex, ups dont update their sites everyday or reguarly it all depends.

Is this amp bridgable?
jcarter1885 replied to waltham415's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
The only way you will damage the amp is if you bridge it using 2 ohm speakers, if it doesnt work you wont get no sound period so it wont hurt anything. -

jcarter1885 replied to waltham415's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I would just try it out and see if it can be bridged, it wont hurt anything. If it works then your good to go and if not your still in the same position as you are in now (so to me its a win win situation for you). -

New Setup, Starting from Zero. Tips Welcomed!
jcarter1885 replied to slim142's topic in Fi Technical
You usually go by which one is lower and since the amp has a lower rms rating you go with the 900rms. -
Thanks just trying to help you out cause me and you both know its coming.

Is this amp bridgable?
jcarter1885 replied to waltham415's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Yeah cause the most headunits put out is 22 rms and once you turn the volume up that high to receive all that rms you will be distorting your speakers probably.
