Nice looking, clean build. I like the voltage reader on the amp, glad to hear your enjoying your setup

Well to each its own but that is going to sound ridiculous (not in a good way). Just sell those subs, amp and spend on making a new box. A new box will not run you more than $60 and will be better and sound better than all those different subs in the car but your car so I guess do what you want. Just my .02

Diagram of Big 3
jcarter1885 replied to Hell-Razor's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
hey ive got an 03 passat and im looking to do the big three in 1/0 too. I have the v6 so my alt is in a slightly different location, closer to the ground on the passenger side. I have no idea how im going to get to it let alone snake the wire back to my batt. Where is the block to chassis wire on our cars? Either get out there and search for a wire leaving the engine block that runs to the cars frame or go buy the handbook for you car from Autozone or Pepboys (the wisest thing to do if your gonna be working on your car). -
Wiring Diagrams for 03 passat
jcarter1885 replied to Hell-Razor's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
The smartest thing is to buy a handbook on your car from Autozone or Pepboys so anytime you have to work on it you have it handy, shouldnt be more than 25 but the best investment you will ever make. -
Buying new car stereo, but which one?

Whatever radio is a good quality reliable radio, is within your price budget and has all the features you want. Considering you didnt list features or a budget nobody will be able to help you out. Please give us more information so we can help you out better otherwise this is useless. -
Thanks I appreciate ya. Yeah this was my third time doing this amp board thing and didnt know it was scratching the bottom of my amps till I took it off the last time and looked at the bottom of my SAX-125.2. I will add another SAX-125.2 with padding on the other side once I purchase it. In a minute Im gonna pull the amp up and flip the padding over so the even side will be under amp and not in the way of the settings as it is now with the elevated pieces up.

You will know as soon as Jacob gets these things done with testing he will post a presale for these with prices so just be patient, he said he wont have updates for close to 4 weeks from now.
-
yeah you will be fine with that size box and power, just make sure you can listen/hear/smell for signs of stress on the woofer. The woofer only does what you tell it to, so if it blows its all about wrong settings by the user (so be smart).

So I finished the amp board early this morning: Before Board Amp Board Installed Pad to go under amp to protect it from the screws Amp installed on amp board

Boo just one picture, is that all we are worth?

Anywhere that sells spray paint.

Yeah you can, most people run different types of batteries with no problems while others put an isolator between them just to be safe (its up to you). I personally wouldnt do it, just get all the same batteries but its thats just my personal preference.

your not going to put a ssd on 1200watts if you plan on keeping it, so if you get a SSD get it in dual 1 ohms and if you get a BL then get it in dual 2 ohms
-
Jacob will keep you guys posted so just be patient, he wont no until he gets word on them so asking him wont do any justice to you guys.
-
I would say get a SSD dual 1 ohm so you can wire it in series to 2 ohms or get a BL dual 2 ohm so you can wire it in parallel to 1 ohm. If money is an issue than get what you can, why are you asking us (get all options for either subwoofer). You should 12-16in^2 per cubic foot of internal volume in the enclosure.

I hate the fact that I spend money everyday out the year to buy me things so days like no tax and black friday I miss out on, oh well cant catch every sale. I bought an amp board today, thats it (bummer black friday).

new amp for two machfive subs
jcarter1885 replied to BuzzKillington's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
X2. Have you contacted Db-r to get an estimate to see if it is worth fixing? x3, it would come out cheaper than buying a new amp. -
Why did you make another topic about the same thing, this is . Like it was said in your other topic, just use one of those amplifiers and get a dual 2 ohm subwoofer.
-
No it is not common at all but I was told it gives you better voltage and less voltage drops at idle so I went for it and havent looked back at all. I get a starting voltage of 14.8-15.2volts when car is cranked on and no accessories with stock battery and alternator.
