the most retarded "enclosure" I have ever witnessed

No more hair tricks, Bag Tricks FTW! -
Everyone here gets use for what they pay for, they just like to use their equipment different ways. So your stock system doesn't have enough bass; you get a sub. That doesn't mean you have to use said sub to try and demolish all of the standing structures around you. Besides, by keeping music at a reasonable volume you save money on hearing aids. you would say that with one sub wouldnt you One sub is what broke the world record at one time, so the amount of subs has nothing to do with it. The more you type the funnier this thread gets to me. You have been watching to many youtube.com car audio videos.
-
Im done, im gonna let you guys entertain this.
-
Now that makes a lot of sense. . . . I have a 400HP car; does that mean I always have to use that 400HP? No. I have a gun; does that mean I should just go out and shoot it? No. I have the ability to ban people from posting; does that mean I should only be banning? Yeah you should be when we have members like this.
-
You think SQ sucks or did your system just suck?
-
WTF are you talking about? No you should have respect if you put a system in a car, your the reason why certain places in America are fining people, towing and taking there cars away because of the idiots who dont respect the people around them.
-
Please stop with these horrible questions and make some intelligent post. Asking if bass is gonna hurt makes no sense at all. What did your last system consist of?
-
Now you dont crank it at a red light, you never crank your system while at idle. You dont crank your system at red lights, in apartment complexes, neighborhoods, schools, crowded roads (unless you have substantial deadening).
-
No that means he did something right if he can keep all that sound in his car. People like you and everyone else who thinks there system is made for others to hear and not themselves are the one's who are ruining car audio for the rest of us. You need to respect others privacy and not let them hear your system, it is yours to hear and not theres if that was the case then everybody would have a system. We are respectful, that is why we dont like it.

Read new member guidelines, not enough information to help you out? You didnt give a budget, what electrical upgrades you have done or are willing to do and so on.

Loud is subjective and different to each person, one sub on 1000 or 2000 watts is loud. Your buying your system on what others think which is a no-no, buy it to please your self. You say its is not for competition but you want to throw 7000 watts at subs rated for 2000rms or a little more, makes no sense. If I were you I would get one BTL and a 2000 watt amplifier and if you need more then get another subs and amp later, but that one sub and amp will surprise you. Yeah it is out of your league, it is out of a lot of people's league (nothing to be offended about at all). Your not a vet, you dont even know what loud is so that is why I said it is out of your league and your comments help prove it (not a let down but reality).
-
7000 watts and your asking would it get loud, with that question this setup may be out of your league. I think one of those amps will be plenty and two would be over kill but it is your money. As long as you have the electrical to back it up, enclosure made on the small side, you get the subs fully loaded and your careful with gain and volume knob they will do.

I saw that just thought it was one for the other enclosure somewhere behind that sliding glass rear window. Is that a plastic bag on his front drivers window(saw that earlier also)? -
I havent experimented with the HDC3's but I heard good things about them, there are some reviews floating around this site about them (I heard they get loud).
-
They are good amps, put out rated power and then some. If it is within your budget then it will be a good match for you and your BTL.
-
Haha, real cute this one has me laughing.

Silicone shouldnt be no more than 1 tube IIRC (I ended up getting some clear silicone), but cant remember how much glue I used (no more than one bottle right since thats all I bought-Titebond II). Cant wait to get this box started, havent built one since August of 2008, over a year ago.

I thought you just went around adding random 1/0AWG wires to the car's chassis and whatever else you could get a hold of but now I understand what you did.

I understand that music is being recorded at high crummy levels nowadays, thats a given. I didnt read the whole statistical analysis part of it, from the main page I got that it will add loudness to the tracks that appear low so I looked at it as a loudness feature. After reading the whole document and the click on links in the document I see what he wants to do now, basically make all the tracks play the same instead of clicking a button to make one as loud as the others. OP I do apologize for my lack of reading .

what is the deal with BXI2610d?

A SAZ-3000D or SAZ-3500D will fit the bill also, you wont hear the difference anyway. -

x2, what they will do just to have some thump in there vehicle. -
Glad to hear you got everything working back to normal

Which Amp?
jcarter1885 replied to casedawg350's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Please bare in mind that clamp tests are not a very reliable or accurate test method, and not a method that should be used to compare one amplifiers performance to another for daily use applications or to determine the "actual" performance of any single amplifier. If I recall correctly RF claims their amplifiers will still make rated power down to around 12.5V, I believe this is part of the reason why the "birthsheets" show higher power output than rated (birthsheets are @ 14.4V). RF amplifiers are CEA-2006 compliant so they must state power is "rated" at 14.4V, but that doesn't mean they can't design the amplifier to still provide rated power at lower voltage levels. I didnt say anything about this test as being used as the holy grail, he asked what they do around 12 volts and I just posted a link for him to look at. I didnt want to say they do this so I posted what the owner of the company posted as a guide or reference to what their capabilities can be thats all; instead of me answering a question I have no facts on so I gave the OP facts. I understand. I posted my comments so others reading the thread, including the OP, didn't base decisions upon the information contained in the linked thread as the method used is inaccurate and unreliable and it has as of yet to be pointed out. Going forward, when linking to relatively unreliable or inaccurate data in response to a specific question asking for actual data it would be helpful to everyone if you included a short comment in your post indicating the inaccuracy of the provided information. In actuality, the linked thread doesn't answer the OP's question at all, and a clamp test doesn't represent "facts". It's data, unreliable data...that's all. Your right I was going off the assumption that people would take into account that plenty of factors will play into where those numbers came and so forth (such as: batteries used, alternator output, enclosure, install itself, other electrical upgrades, impedance rise etc.). Next time I will make that aware when I post and to not use this as the guide that if you use those batteries Jacob are using or that amp you will see those exact same numbers if you did testing yourself. Well answer this for me, is there an accurate way to test the amps rms or output since every testing method is not reliable (for my own .02)? -
Getting sort of off topic.....but no, running a 2-way active front stage + subwoofer is a 3-way active system. A 3-way active front stage + subwoofer is a 4-way active system. Majority of people are already running their substage "active" by using the amplifier's or headunit's onboard amplifiers for the crossover. So when I was having this same argument and including the sub in my setup and claiming to have a three-way active system everyone on this forum was like no you dont have one, dont include the sub stage. Why was that? (not arguing just looking for some clarification). **I do understand how people are using there subwoofers with there headunits and amps to make it active and all that stuff. I cant remember when the thread was made but Ill search for it.
