If your gonna run them active then yeah you will need a 4 channel amp but if your gonna use the crossovers that come with speakers then you will only need a 2 ch. amp.
-
If you have the room to fit those 4-12" SA's then why not look at 2-15" Nightshades, if it came doewn between the two I would do Nightshades but the 4-SA12''s would be a nice install also. It is hard to tell which one is the best, better or whatever other word you could come up with. You will just have to make a compromise and go for one over the other or buy both setups and install them to see.

Thats what I did, usually flipping a coin is the end result.

AQ 2200 Clipping Led
jcarter1885 replied to wof131s's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Here's the million dollar question, what does your electrical consist of? -
I was gonna get a FI Q 18" for the house and I was gonna look at this amplifier: Parts-Express.com:
-
I already stated that to him. OP yeah your amp will be fine since it is 1 ohm stable, just wire the D2 in parallel for a 1 ohm final load:
-
You should at least gotten the T/S Parameters just in case, that would of been the smartest thing to do besides getting just the rms and enclosure sizes.

AQ 2200 Clipping Led
jcarter1885 replied to wof131s's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I would suggest you dont use the bass boost if that is when your getting clipping regardless if your not getting the bass output you want from that song since it seems the reason why you could be clipping early. If you do use it you have to incorporate that into setting your amp and not set the gains so high so it will allow for some bass boost use if you feel the need be. -
I dont get what you mean how it will hold up? It seems like it will do well considering you can wire 2 D2 subwoofers to 1 ohm, they can only be wired to a 0.5, 2 and 8 ohm final load:

AQ2200 probs.

Summertime was the last I heard. -
Go buy a dmm and next time you could just measure to be safe than sorry.

usually most batteries come charged to you, but you can charge it if it needs it when you get it. I would buy an agm charger just to charge it from time to time to take some of the work off of your alternator but it is up to you (really depends on your listening habits).
-
A bigger battery upfront will be okay but you will still probably need another battery for your amp, it depends on stock alternator size and the voltage drops your having. A battery with at least 60Ah or more should due, but the best way to tell is install it first and watch your voltage then make a decision from there.
-
Big 3 wiring, a voltmeter to monitor voltage and a secondary battery to provide power for that AQ1200 amp. The BL sounds like it for you from your sound preferences but the Havoc is a good speaker to (just may come down to a toin coss).

Just went Component Speaker window shopping and must admit I like the Hertz (the new model that came out this year HSK 165XL) better than the Focals and Morels.

Any input on those Selenium Horns and 8"(is it the 8W4P 8" woofers) speakers? Im looking to do an 8" and horn setup and looking at these two speakers as an alternative to what I want, so any reviews or remarks on the sound or what you like about them. What do you have those 8" crossed at and about how power are they seeing? Thanks

Do they speak english in what? Haha the funniest part of the movie I swear.

Output shouldnt be loss, if you seal them off from the trunk when you fire them forward then you shouldnt have any trunk rattle (or very minimal rattle).

x2, that has been my favorite car for years. The only car I used on Need for Speed, will definitely be getting one in the future (one of my goals).
-
Probably not, if so just like any other company they will tell you as soon as the sale is about to start. Just save up like you normally would if you want to make a purchase from them.
-
Yeah I would go with 2-12" BL's or 1-15"BTL but if you can fit 2-15"s then shoot for 2-15" BL's. Just remember subs in the right size enclosure will outperform and sound better than subs in a cramped enclosure.

It is not gonna change, you know how hard it is to get teenager's to understand things and follow rules (they think the world revolves around them and they can do what they want).

Which amp is best for my xcon.

That makes no sense and it is still as backwards like stated above, it is ok to work on you electrical but doing it the way your are is ridiculous. Take a step back and slow down, you dont have the car or the money so stop rushing things and plan this right or you will be at this all day or making changes to equipment your once you put it in (trust me I know I have been there and done it myself). Sit down and think about this wisely and if you need help dont be afraid to ask.
