, keep up the good work.

x2, I was doubting with the way you made it seem like you didnt have space but that fits with room to spare. Excellent box and decision , about how many cans did us use on the box so far, just trying to get an estimate for the amount to buy? Looking good .

Is this a good trade?

Yeah either a Dual 1 ohm or Dual 4 ohm coil will get you a 2 ohm load. -
Looks good, you do nice work man.

x2 or do the math by hand (best way).

mb quart dsc 2000.1?
jcarter1885 replied to dub26z's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Like I said any MB Quart Discus does rated power at 14.4 volts from Mike S. (MaxxSonics) himself, found it on the S. Meade forum. MB Quart DSC 1000.1D = 1050 watts @ 1 ohm (14.4 volts), a strong 1000 watts of clean power @ 14.4 volts. MB Quart DSC 1500.1D = 1600 watts @ 1 ohm (14.4 volts), a strong 1500 watts of clean power @ 14.4 volts. MB Quart DSC 2000.1D = 2200 watts @ 1 ohm (14.4 volts), a strong 2000 watts of clean power @ 14.4 volts. -
cant wait till the build log, what size enclosure and tuning if going ported?
-
Yes a 12" ported would sound good and a 15" sealed would also but the 12" would have more output. Like stated above, Ill take a 12" ported over a 15" sealed and day. Any FI sub will sound good in ported enclosure as long as it is a well built enclosure to Fi Recommended Specs and not a prefab box.

mb quart dsc 2000.1?
jcarter1885 replied to dub26z's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Dude I just asked you a simple question so we can get the facts straight, nobody is starting anything and I would like to know for future reference in case any people I know who want budget amps. So get off this trying to defend the company type shit and just give me some facts to back it up which will in turn help the OP and forum too. -

mb quart dsc 2000.1?
jcarter1885 replied to dub26z's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Is this information available anywhere or is it hear say? -
I would go with 33hz.
-
You still give no tuning frequency desired, the actual port length you need or trying to get? More information is needed like stated earlier.
-
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I have always heard that if you want a tight focused bass (SQ), go sealed. If you just want loud, boomy, undefined bass (SPL) go ported. Correct or no? Yeah and no, but you keep saying you want a 15" if it is going to hit louder. Not trying to bash you but I dont think you want SQ or you dont have a good definition of it. A ported box is not all about SPL, built correctly and tuned right will give you a great sounding enclosure that has the ability to get loud.
-
, dont know if I missed it but what subs did you use to replace the Jensen's with?
-
Yeah usually that is the case but when you throw sealed vs. ported in the equation it changes some things up.
-
Anybody will just state the problem and all the available information you have to share and could make solving your problem easier.

mb quart dsc 2000.1?
jcarter1885 replied to dub26z's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I dont know if mb quart does rated power and if so it is at 14.4 volts so unless you can keep your voltage steady at that number or around it then no. I know the AudioPipes do rated power, there is a testing thread on here somewhere do some searching. -
Actually FI says a BL or BTL wont work in a sealed enclosure, so ported will be your best bet unless you meant the FI SSD.
-
Regardless of timing it doesnt matter, how are you made at someone for making a product better for you and more power (since that is all people cry about any way, More Power). There is no room for anybody to attack Jacob like he did something wrong or complain about him changing his lines up, you dont hear anybody crying to Hifonics who changes there sorry products to actually make them decent almost every year but still people run them and dont complain to Hifonics(makes no sense).

In my living room, still no top on or holes cut for sub and speaker wires. I need a new radio before I install it so this wont go in anytime soon, the only upgrades is the padding for the amp is on the back of the enclosure. To busy trying to decide on my front stage right about now, updates will be slow as of now like stated earlier (trying to make this a one time only install but I know that wont be too likely).
