What he is wanting to do is run two 4 ohm components wired together before amp to a single speaker wire that is in the bridged channels on one set of terminals (ch 1 and ch 2). So the bridge load will see 2 ohms if im correct on what he is wanting to do.

Nice come up

I personally wouldnt try it.

Yeah you can buy some spacers or mounting rings for your 6x9"s to make up for that extra magnet depth or you can make your own.
-
How is not fitting maybe we can try to help you maneuver it in there, I know on one of my boxes I had to take my weatherstripping off my trunk for that extra inch to get it in the trunk.

X pucking 2 I need to buy a saw so I can cut my own wood from now on since Home Depot didnt do all the cuts precise (I guess if you want it done right you do it yourself). Theres a reason them jackasses work at Home Depot, they can't fuckin' hang on a job site, same with all the stupid building inspectors out there...... Its not home depot's job to cut it right, it says right there on the saw it is not for precision cuts. Why even get out of bed if you are going to do something half ass. Do it right or don't do it at all...... Yeah it does say it on the saw itself but to me it doesnt even make sense to ask the dimensions I want cut if your not going to cut them precise, thats my point. I rather you just say I can cut it to fit in your trunk then attempt to do a half ass job but you get what you pay for when you dont do it yourself.

Looking good, real good . Are you thinking of making these changes to the Dcon as well or is that just gonna be left alone for now? -
Just find a bolt that is attached to the engine that can be removed without messing things up and send the wire from there to the chassis.

A member on here is giving me a head unit for free so I can finally put this sub in my car and see what it can do , that is why I love SSA (you give plenty of help out and get some in return). All I gotta do this weekend is get hole cutout for subwoofer, seal speaker wire hole on enclosure and then put the top on and it is a go. I will probably paint it in the future but that depends on if I like how it sounds, performs and how good it holds up.

So you just got your second sled Sean, I cant wait to get me an ATV since I live in Texas and a sled wont get used to its full capabilities.

Not directed at you but I hate the fact that America cares more about one of the greatest golfers doing what most people do nowadays which is commit adultery. I dont see how that is so important that you rather be blinded by this and not how the government is fucking up our lives and country more everyday. Our government is strong against the people since we are too dumb to come together and go against them, but in reality if we stick together we will be stronger than our government. /rant I didnt even watch the Woods address, I hate when people do something and it is made publicly then they have to apologize for it publicly. It doesnt undo anything, they should of just left it at Tiger cheating, the only people he needs to apologize is his family and that is all (nobody else matters, not even his fans). Im a fan of Tiger Woods and will always be since he is human and will make mistakes like everybody else, I didnt even need an apology from him since his situation doesnt concern me or affect my life.

batt light stays on
jcarter1885 replied to spencer's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
x2, my coolant sensor comes on all the time when I get in the car and my coolant is filled and works fine so I need to take it to the dealership and let them check it out. Either it is a faulty sensor or or a code error. -
batt light stays on
jcarter1885 replied to spencer's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Could be a code you have that needs to be reset or bypassed also, take it to the dealership and see what they say. Usually when you change a factory setting or something that was factory and the light stays on then it can be the code needing to be updated. -
^^^ can you say hilarious, I miss playing Mortal Kombat

Keep up the good work man, looking good.

x2, dont need more than that since an amp wont see that 5 volts your trying to send it anyway. Using this will usually cause speakers to be damaged, not really needed IMO. -
Fresh paint job, love the chameleon paint jobs till this day.

I wouldnt do 4 tweeters up front, just stick with a nice set of components unless you want to go active and then that is a different story. You will need a 2 channel amp for a passive (component setup) and a 4 channel amp for an active (2 way setup).

Yeah the foam definitely helped with my trunk lid when it had a problem, made it seem solid instead of hollow as well.
-
Flip a coin, best out of three wins that is how I choose my sub when it came down to the final two.
-
If you cant do port back and subs back then I vote port and subs firing forward into the cabin with it sealed off from the trunk or port back and subs up.

Stick with the rms of the sub recommended by Kicker and yes that amp upgrade will be noticeable over the kole audio. When choosing between the RF and Sundown wont really matter which one you pick since they both will do the job.
