my 2nd battery
jcarter1885 replied to smashedz28's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
It doesnt really matter which battery goes first but if you could fit the HC2000 in the stock location then go for it. I would switch out the two 150A fuses between the two batteries with 250A fuses since your supposed to fuse to the wire. Then I would just run one 1/0AWG wire with 250A fuse leaving positive battery terminal going to distribution block with 4 gauge wire leaving distribution block and no fuse to MB Quart DSC4125 and 1/0AWG wire leaving distribution block with 150A fuse 8"before SAZ-1500D like Sundown recommends. Just my .02 (how my amps are wired after battery) -
I have been the head phones route and portable dvd player sitting on the dash board or passenger seat FTL.

I been giving that same thought to my box whether to cover it or leave it as bare mdf and the bare mdf has been growing on me. What are your plans for that awesome looking enclosure. As soon as i can make Kerfed enclosures Im making enclosures for a living.

I can agree with that one, and almost better at a lot of other things also. I hate younger women. Congrats mbarber25, have you decided where your going yet?

From my understanding they are good amplifiers, talk to Thumper at Pound That Sound (he has dealt with them and I think he is a dealer for them also). -
I just got around to a little rewiring and updating my terminals on my stock battery in the trunk, damn do I need some dampening for the trunk (its looks so naked). Nothing serious guys just the basics but I thought I would share pictures. Positive Terminal Negative Terminal Ground Spot Wiring Overview #1 Amp Wiring Wiring Overview #2 Cover Board (Uncompleted)

What do you guys think I would be happier with!!!!~~~~

No idea that was a while ago. It was sitting in the 13's. Ya, I have a feeling my Charger will not do as well. I will just get a 2nd battery I guess along with the big 3 upgrade. Well depending on setup you can talk to XS Power about batteries, they have some big batteries that will take on a system and starting a car at the same time. Look at the chart and see what fits the stock location: I Have a XXXXXXX watt sytem. What battery do I need? - SSA Car Audio Forum -

Like I said depending on your alternator, what size alternator was in the G35 and where was your voltage sitting at when playing music? -

yea just for speaker wire, oh thats . Looks like a beast of an amp.

The only benefit to wiring to a certain ohm load is to get more power from your amp, usually most amps do more power at 1 ohms than 2 ohms and so forth. So what ever amp you get you need to match your sub up with it, if you get a D1 sub (you can wire it to 0.5 or 2 ohms), if you get a D2 sub (you can wire it to 1 and 4 ohms) and if you get a D4 sub (you can wire it to 2 or 8 ohms). Go to www.the12volt.com and play with subwoofer wiring configuration. Subwoofer Wiring Diagrams

, when will people understand this. Your gonna need to make electrical upgrades regardless unless you run under 1000 watts or so, so if you dont want to do any electrical upgrades you may just need one SSD depending on your factory alternator size. -
very werid electrical problem with new pos amp
jcarter1885 replied to brickloaf's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Yeah i have removed the ground wire before and it wasnt a problem and hasnt been for years that I know of, never damaged an amp or anything else by removing the ground first and then putting it back.- 17 replies

mb quart dsc 2000.1?
jcarter1885 replied to dub26z's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Thats funny. Are you trying to tell me that a higher priced amp will improve my SQ? Let's say I replace my MB Quart with a very popular Sundown.....will it sound any better? Did I say it will sound better, I said if your application is looking for a budget amplifier it will due. A system looking for a budget amplifier means they are looking to get what they need at a lower price than you can get anything else in the same market for (such as: Kicker, Rockford Fosgate, Sundown Audio, Incriminator Audio). Im glad people sure know how to twist words around and not read it for what it is. I didnt say shit about SQ, SPL or anything by that nature. -

mb quart dsc 2000.1?
jcarter1885 replied to dub26z's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
There is no catch that I know besides dealing with a mainstream company, they are considered budget amps that work well in an application calling for a budget amplifier. -
The one 15" ported should be louder.
