:woot: :woot: Never wants to leave, wish this could be my full time job. -
I have been in the same position with a leak that was supposed to be fixed and everytime they say fix it just leaks worse. Finally I took about a year to diagnose the problem and fix it myself, using a beer bottle filled with water to find the leaking source. Once I found it was a tube that wouldnt stay put I got some silicone and put it on the what the tube wrapped around, then I got some liquid nails and sealed up the edge from where the tube wrapped around the opening it attached too. Once I got this done I put twist ties around the tube and the opening it attached too, since then no problems and very happy I got rid of my own leak. You gotta learn sometimes dealerships and car repair centers wont always do the job right so it will have you coming back again unless you have a personal mechanic who will treat you and your car right like its his own. Yeah my first advice would be to try to fix the leak and if it is a weatherstripping problem then go find your car at a junk yard and get a new weatherstripping for cheap, matter of fact I need on for my trunk as well since my last box tore mine up. Water is not good for mdf or wood of any nature if it is not treated and stained for protection against it.

It depends what the company recommends for enclosures, yeah a ported box will give you more output from your subs. If 600rms subs cant take 380 watts then it is an install issue (box size or your settings on your amp are wrong).
-
Why wouldnt it, does it fit there recommended enclosure size?
-
He already said he tried 2 other decks and MP3, check out the post before mine.
-
To me it either sounds like a grounding issue somewhere or a bad amp then, hopefully the former.
-
Same thing I was thinking from the beginning since I never had that happened (I have bought over 20 subs in my short span of my car audio hobby) or heard about it.

Why carbonated water Sean if you dont mind me asking?

every video you post is a :fing34: -
More SQ with the Q that I know of, if your worried about output then Q is not for you. If SQ is your goal then the subwoofer should be the last thing your worried about. I cant really comment on which would have better output, but you should be comparing the SSD's and BL's in your case. Know if you want a good sounding woofer than anyone that FI makes will fit the bill, hope that helps.

Prices wont be available for a while, most Sundown equipment can be put in smaller boxes than normal with great performance.
-
classic, a very sick build this is going to be.
-
Well if you want the sub your ordered then instead of talking to us shouldnt you be emailing or getting in touch with who messed up your order.

voltmerter ?

stinger voltmeter - Google Search -
I wouldnt wire that to 1 ohm since Kicker amps are 2 ohm stable. Either see if you can return the speaker for a different voice coil option or get another amp. You need to wire your sub in series to 4 ohms until you get a one ohm stable amp.

If the DP and 9500 are more similar drivers, which would outperform the other in their optimum enclosures. Thanks I would go with the DP, just my .02.

best 15" subs for a ~4 cubic ft box

You definantly want to tune lower if you listen to rap/hip-hop, you may want to build another box as well since it is on the small side already. -
Help with Elecrical

I havent been there on that forum but I have heard the same things about it (this is the only car audio forum I joined besides Image Dynamics but that was just for product information). Good luck with install and dont forget pictures. -
All three are good options, if you have the money and space available to do an amp upgrade and add another speaker then with that route if your current system wasnt enough for you. If your current system is enough for you than factor in do i want more power for my subs or am I fine with the current amp you have powering the subs now and if so then just get it fixed. Just make sure who they are sending it too will do a good repair job and not a hack job like most amp repair companies. Just my .02

x2, that is the only way to tell. -
KnuKoncepts for your wiring needs, XS Power Batteries for you battery needs(contact nathan @ XS Power) and Sundown Audio for your amp needs. Make sure you do the Big Three wiring (http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/THE-BIG-3-t200.html) in 4 awg or bigger, depending on factory wiring size but most use 1/0awg wire. Buy a voltmeter and install it so you can watch your voltage. But really what would help us is your budget you have available for amp, battery, wiring and so on? Are you getting the BL with the BP option or not (a 1500rms amp would suffice).
