  1. 1500 watts or more depending on electrical, go look at the test that Jacob has under the Sundown section of this forum (search for it my friend). As far as alarms go just be safe how you bump and where you bump, an alarm can help and at the same time not do jack shit if they really want it. Sometimes a good alarm is tint, but having a box directly in the back seat where everybody will now you have a system instead of kinda hidden in the trunk doesnt help the situation either. Just got be careful and smart that is all, I dont worry about not like it wont happen but dont stress myself out about it. If somebody wants to steal your stuff they will regardless if it is your buddy or someone you dont know, also make sure your not being followed or watched (most people arent observant and could avoid a lot if they were).
  2. Go for it, as stated earlier Sundown is having a sale and that system would be nice.
  3. Whatever fits your goals, budget, aesthetics preferences and has all the features you want will be the best headunit for you. Go out and search and review some and if you have a list and need help narrowing it down then we will be glad to help you instead of just shouting out random head units (beware a lot of companies are introducing new headunits this year so make sure you look at some of there homepages aswell). Hope this helps, Im a Alpine and Pioneer man (I like Kenwoods just doesnt have the simple features I like).

    Soundstream Help/Advice

Well the cheapest route would be to make another box for you the subs you have, ported of course and compare that to the sealed box (this will help determine which is better for your application or helps you reach your goals). After you decide what you want to go with, then upgrade amp if you still want to. If upgrading your amp you still want some more bump then finally go about adding that 3rd sub to the equation. Hope this helps.

    I Got The Wrong Speaker

Go to Wal-mart buy the cheapest one or it really doesnt matter, use it and take it back if you really dont want to keep it. This may save you in shipping cost if it is the right sub after all, so the only thing you will be wasting is gas to Wal-mart at the end of the day.
  9. Yeah that is just the glue burning from the sub, your cool but if you keep smelling it and for long periods of time its not glue and probably voice coils (means your reaching the subs thermal handling rating).

x2, regardless of what my box and sub (or speakers) says if it has markings on it I still measure it with the DMM first.

DC Level 4 or Kicker L7

Personally that is up to you, I would go for the 15" if you want to keep your seats and have some trunk room but if you dont care for room and want that extra output from an 18" then go for it. Either will slam and you will enjoy it , hope that helps.

    SAZ-2500D Prototype Is Here !

Damn it makes me want to upgrade so bad, looking good Jacob. I like the extra work you do and show everything and how it makes the new different from the old instead of just saying it is a difference like most companies.

    Box Help

Everything will depend on how much room you have available, so go get the maximum dimensions you can use for a box (make sure you leave room for you box to move air into the cabin, amps to breathe and secondary batteries if any). Usually the bigger the more efficient it makes the speaker and the less power it needs before running into mechanical issues, will also have a greater low end response. Usually the smaller the enclosure the less efficient it makes the speaker and the more power it needs before running into thermal issues. You wont mess up the sub by going with smaller or bigger than recommended but it will drastically affect the sound.

    I Got The Wrong Speaker

x2, I havent looked back ever since I bought a DMM and it came in handy (thought I would only use it once but it gets plenty of use). Didnt think I needed one but yeah you will even if it is just to measure your battery, alternator, speakers, set your amp up, etc.
