Yeah I definitely understand, was at this stage in October and deciding between a CVX 15" or a Sundown Z15. So I went with the new, but I always know what I can fall back on but I would recommend Kickers to anyone, especially the CVR's and CVX's (mt favorites). You have a lot of subs to choose from, look at: Fi Car Audio SSD or BL's, Incriminator Audio, Sundown Audio, SSA and Soundsplinter. All are good companies with great products, hope that helps.

Almost any body who doesnt like a Kicker install must have a box made from a preference you dont desire (such as a higher or lower than normal tuning that you would use) or you just dont like them. I heard a lot of Kicker setups and including many of my own that sound good so it is all in the install, if you put them in an enclosure designed around your needs and goals they will sound great and perform great.

I could too. Sean I need your advice I want to find some ways to cook fish besides baking, any suggestions. Regular stove in a regular kitchen with regular pots and pans, thats all the background information with an amatuer cooker on the rise.

Well honestly this is my first time doing the t-nuts and bolts and that was the size that was referred to me all around the board. I dont think they would snap at all, screws wouldnt even snap (depending on the size you use). It just makes it easier to remove subs and not rip the wood up if you remove them a lot.

I use the 5/16 bolts (1.5" long) and t-nuts.

Nice looking enclosure you have made there sir, all your enclosures look rather impressive

Yeah that Q will do the job on 500 watts in a sealed enclosure, since there is no problem underpowering a sub you will be fine. (I had subs rms sum up to 2250 watts and only threw 700-800 watts to them and loved it, so did my electrical).

Looking real good, my next install is gonna be sub and port firing forward with the trunk and cabin sealed off from one another. You will be receiving a pm from me on tips for building in trunk, looking good .

Tuning box below manufacture's Fs
jcarter1885 replied to Typicaljawaiian's topic in Advanced Discussion
Here read this: BTL Enclosure Recommendations - SSA Car Audio Forum Tuning to 30Hz wont be a problem at all since it is recommended, I just wouldnt go down to 25hz unless you listen to a lot of pipe organ music or chopped and screwed tunes. Tuning lower than recommended will yield output in the higher frequency ranges but give it the ability to dominate the lows and vice versa as well. -

x2, Rockford or Sundown but a budget will help us make this choice easier for you. -
Distro block and wire size problem
jcarter1885 replied to DeadlyMelody's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
^^^^ what the above people said, it is not worth it trying to put 1/0 in a SAX-50.4 and wont make a difference for the amp so 4 gauge will work fine in a 1/0awg hole. That is how I have my distribution block 1/0Awg wire in 1/0AWG hole and 2 4 gauge wires in 1/0AWG holes leaving the distribution blocks going to my amps. -
Yes:

Naw it doesnt mean anything at all, it means that he will have substantial amount of headroom for his Dcons and if they dont perform how he wants them too then he will upgrade. Still wont need an extra battery for that at 2 ohms, just the Big 3 and a voltmeter depending on stock alternator size. Thats all, were talking about right now and not the future buddy but good one.

Very true but the enclosure it is in will help determine that also.
