I may be wrong but I dont think your supposed to set your high amps with a DMM, cant remember why but I think your not supposed to considering they wont shine until you play a 10,000 hz tone in a song. I would try setting them by ear first and see if it makes a difference.

Audio Control matrix (line driver)

All that sounds like a marketing gimmick to me, you have what you need. Now if your system seems like it is missing something then let us know what you want but this wont make a difference in your current setup. -
I never think I heard what IAK stands for and after some thinking today I guess it means Indianapolis Audio Klub/Krew, you guys are doing well and growing. Keep it up IAK

Which horns do you have? I know that I plan on getting the basic ones (Image Dynamics CD1MH V.3 ), from my understanding they should be crossed at 1000hz or better using the steepest slope available (24db). Actually for all there speakers Image Dynamics suggest a steeper slope, Ive talked to the guys a few times last month (he made it seem like even on 20 watts there unbearable). When you say there are as loud as you expected was this with subs on or just the horns by themselves?

Build time usually means how long it will take your sub to be built after it is ordered and the purchase is complete. How long you will have to wait for them to get in stock is a question Jacob can answer for you.

Box design suggestions? Two sundown z15's
jcarter1885 replied to akrod2as's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
Yeah your gonna want more port area, usually the rule of thumb is 12-16in^2/per cube. So if you were shooting for a 5ft^3 after displacements (subs, port and/or bracing), you should have 60-80 in^2 of port area. -
Like I said before a budget will help of what you want to purchase for a sub setup. Do you want another 18" or do you want to do 2 15" subwoofers or what?
-
To be honest with you I thought that they would be louder. I have 35 watts going to them right now. They still need to be eq'd and what not. Over all they sound good though. Dont tell me this, from my understanding and what everyone's been telling me these should peel the skin off your face.
-
The first thing you should do is stop trying to be like someone else and build your system around your sound preferences, the budget you have available and goals you have in mind. Just because you see someone doing something with a certain setup does not mean you will do the same thing or get close (every install and vehicle is different and will affect the sound), it will all come down to install.
-
How are you liking those horns?
-
I would choose 2-10"s or a single 12".
-
Yes and no, it will all come down to the install. If you got the room for 2 18" BTLs then go for it or stick with 1 18" or 2 15" BTL's. Nobody will be able to tell you if you can reach it a 150dbs or how loud you will be but set up properly it should reach that mark.

What is your budget on subs, how much room for an enclosure do you have? -
Everything is all install dependent, dont believe everything you hear or read. Talk to Jacob about it and how they will perform in your application or what goals your trying to reach, he would give you the best answers on what rms to use.
-
If that box does not have individual chambers for each subwoofer I wouldnt mix subs in the same enclosure, I wouldnt mix subs period but to each its own.
-
Email Jacob and see, I think he had sold out of a lot of products last month so if that is the case they will be in soon. [email protected]

What did I say that "seemed" like I wasnt taking it easy, you guys kill me with finding tone in internet conversations that arent even there. *Now if I would of said when you click on the Q icon on there page and they let you order them or something along those lines then that would seem rude but Im sorry I didnt sugar coat it enough just for you.
-
When they are ready for purchase you will be able to buy them, until then just be patient. Nick and Scott are very busy and will get these out as soon as they can.
-
Dont know to much about them but here you go: http://www.stetsom.com.br/eng/Novidades.aspx

What vehicle will this go in, what electrical upgrades have you done or will you do? How much room is available for an enclosure, do you have a general idea of what you want? What type of music do you listen to, any goals?
