Radio pop?
jcarter1885 replied to flipzslick's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Well I couldnt tell you directly but I do know in my situation that what was causing my noise, once I did my Big 3 in 1/0 gauge and doubled the ground run from battery to chassis it went away. My car has horrible gounding so I notice if I went overkill on grounds I eliminated a lot of noises that caused interference. The pop on noise can be the amp itself: some have a delay, some are mute and some are loud so it really depends but I would let others chime in as well. -
Not a problem, keep me posted on updates as well.

Haha, yeah I know its been a minute but still deciding on interior speakers and interior speakers amp while waiting for amp to sell but this process will speed up soon. A couple of changes have came so far since the beginning of the build months ago, no battery storage board anymore since I will only be using one battery going in the stock trunk location (and no battery board for the batteries I was going to place in the spare tire well).

Check your grounds (headunit, amp and electrical ones), I also had that problem before. -
Make sure you do that and pictures

You've read before on here that you can just pick up Vance Dickason's Loudspeaker Design Cookbook and you will have "all" the good info, but that I guess you already knew. Great book. Read it cover to cover many times. Have it on my desk at work right now. Problem is that it is too technical for most people. They just want to know how it is done, not why it is done that way My guess - that is why all of these "close enough" estimates came to be. . . Brian The next thing to get purchase on my car audio agenda, I need this book. Don't be afraid of an older version. The updates aren't worth extra. I doubt you'll ever build any of his speaker plans which have been added (and would even say you shouldn't). Thanks for the input, what editions do you suggest I shoot for.

Line Driver???
jcarter1885 replied to SilkySmoove's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
It depends what your needs are or what needs to be improved, give us that information then we can find one that suits your needs and application. -
Nobody knows the specs of the 2010 Q's, will be posted when they are ready for purchase. It is hard to tell how much a stock electrical can handle depends on alternator, battery and other things. That may work fine with your electrical, buy a volt meter and do the Big 3 then go from there.
-
They will come out when they are ready, so just be patient (just keep checking the site daily). That amp would work fine with that subwoofer, sets your gains right and bump away.
-
Naw these will be your wiring configurations: Subwoofer Wiring Diagrams, Two 2 ohm Dual Voice Coil (DVC) Speakers

before I asked if they needed breakin and you answered that they do not. How is it that these don't need breakin and 1508 need to be broken in for about a month before going all out? Subs do not need to be broken in, the suspension will loosen up the more you play it. Some people take it easy on there subs when they first get them and the easier you are on your sub then the longer it will take for the suspension to loosen up.

Enclosure Build for spsjr1987 (Two 12 Inch Sundown Audio SA's)
jcarter1885 replied to Argent Audio's topic in Argent Audio
Definitely enjoyed the step by step process, great job man -
I wanted to do that today but there are no courts where I live so I just went to the lake between the Texas Ranger Ballpark and Dallas Cowboys stadium and walk for 2 hours while dribbling the ball. For some reason (probably a mind thing) but I cant workout indoors because it gets real boring after a month or two, I gotta be outside to enjoy nature while exercising.

Glad to hear that

That sounds like me then. See they are in your future system upgrade list too. What amp are you expecting to use with them? Yeah considering price I was like I can stick with the beginner's pair as they are still louder than any other tweeters out there besides bullet ones (too harsh for my liking). If you need any information about them contact Eric (ID) at 866-933-1414 ext. 101 (very helpful). I am in the process of either buying a Zed Audio Leviathan (6 channel amp) or waiting for there 4 channel amp to come out later this year. If you have any more questions feel free to ask me.

Definitely about to watch the whole movie in minute, makes me never want to mark a package fragile again.
-
If your a beginner and not competing with them then go with the Image Dynamics CD1MH V.3 but it is a personal preference and what your budget is for them.
-
Damn that is tough, I hope you get everything worked out real soon.
-
Not a problem, good luck with the upcoming install.

Now I need to get some money to get my D3400 , thanks SSA.

I would take out what you can (speaker, adapter plate if you dont need and Bose box next to speaker) but I wouldnt remove its factory wiring and the leave the plugs alone. Just my .02 in case you ever want to re install it for whatever reason all you have to do is screw it back in, then plug and play. Just one option, Im sure someone will chime in with another one.
