Thanks man , they are pretty cool. I found his post on another forum, wish i knew about him sooner.

Cool video, they are getting down. Feel sorry for that passenger door

When you sub mount needs a mount What are those orange pieces holding your box in place and where did you get them man? Thanks
-
That box should suffice for now, prefabs are better than what they used to be but a custom enclosure will be more optimal. I would look into upgrading to an enclosure suited for the subwoofer in the future. Just my .02

Nice find, I always loved those Avalanches.

It is just a sitting duck for the moment, rushed to buy the subwoofer in fear of prices rising in the future due to the steel tax hoopla. Need some more equipment first, trying to do the whole install at once but we will see how long that last.

Ill give my .02 since I ordered a subwoofer from Fi last month, took longer than the anticipated build time. I gave them a week before contacting since I'm in no rush, emailed and no response. Let some days go by and remembered they always answered me on facebook all the time. Messaged them on facebook and got a response asap, then an email reply two days later. Not trying to sway you, just thought I would share. Go try facebook and also check your spam mail too.

Enjoyed your work man, take it easy.

Subs in trunk suggested orientation
jcarter1885 replied to ManzKea's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
I can't see the port firing to the rear causing less rattles than a port firing to the side. -
Which vehicle? I would try them both out to see which you prefer, off of looks I would go for the aero portrd enclosure.

Love that color bro, nice choice -
I wrapped the interior panels up since it's taking me longer to put them back together. Need to go buy some sail panels, after cutting into mine. I decided against mounting my tweeters in that location.

Thanks Randal, I gave some info in the other thread where you asked how to post pictures from your phone. All pictures posted here are straight from my phone.

Dont know why I didn't think of covering my power wire run from front to back under the hood. Looks much better without the red jacket being visible. I did the trunk power wire as well, excuse the wiring mess at the moment. Distribution blocks are only temporary till larger amp with bigger inputs is ordered. Removed zip ties and covered plastic loom with electrical tape, 2 layers of tape for some extra protection. Then reapplied the zip ties to keep it all in tack.

Fi Sp4 v2 was ordered last night, now I just sit here and twiddle my fingers till it gets here. I finally decided to swap the factory unit with an aftermarket h/u, processor will either be a JL Audio TWK88 or DD Audio DSI-1. Im slowly making some progress fellas, bear with me.

Click on the "Click to chose files" link on the bottom part of this reply box, it will prompt you with options to chose files from your phone's gallery. The only downside is the picture must be smaller than 5mb, so you may have to change your phone settings to allow for a smaller sized picture when using your camera.

Might be dumb to suggest this but give your fuses a run down if you havent already, blew one and had this problem.
