Crescendo Audio?
jcarter1885 replied to abmoore's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I wont be receiving them until this week coming up, so as soon as I hear them you guys will the be the first to know (the amp is here and speaker wire is already ran for them just waiting for the tweeters). -
I would go with 3 D2's in your case so you can wire to 1.34 ohms.

Big 3 on 2002 Cadillac Seville STS HELP!!!
jcarter1885 replied to cbach1987's topic in Technical Info & How To's
Jack the car up and see if you can do it yourself, if not then you may have to pay somebody. Cant really tell you exactly how to do it on your car but there are plenty of tutorials on the topic though: THE BIG 3 - SSA Car Audio Forum -
The box best design for the lows notes that your seeking will get the job done and not the size of the subwoofer.

What size is the wire? That will determine what size fuse to use. -

Crescendo Audio?
jcarter1885 replied to abmoore's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I bought some SuperTweeters from them last week and was thinking about the amp myself in the future if I ever upgrade to more power, wish I could help you out but Im curious as well. -
Nice start, I think you should build the box then go hunting or think about building the box will hunting or think about hunting while building the box (I dont know too many decisions).

We will wait

, there is no such thing as under powering a sub. The only time it affects the subwoofer when you underpower it is when you try to turn the volume knob or gains higher then you should sending a dirty signal to the subwoofer, since your making the amp work harder and provide power it was not meant to.
-
Your voltage will always read higher when it is colder out, temperature is what affects voltage (usually on hotter days your car will start and idle at a lower voltage then moderately or chilly temperature days).

Talk to Jacob and see what needs to be done, just looks like maybe the glue came undone at most (hopefully).

Which of these would possably get louder off s SAZ 1500D
jcarter1885 replied to mwoehr's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Not always true, motor force and other things come into play when comparing two different types of subs. -
Is this true about Alpine decks?
jcarter1885 replied to mwoehr's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
No you dont turn your gain up to make up for not using bass boost, you turn your gain where it is supposed to be to avoid clipping (it needs to match signal with the headunits pre out voltage). -
Amp gain for highs
jcarter1885 replied to bmoney9's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
He is asking does he use a 1000 Hz tone to set his gains on the amp for the interior speakers(front stage). -
Definitely keep the Arc Audio Amp unless you want to do some electrical upgrades to get more power from a bigger amp. What size enclosure can you fit, if you dont know then get a tape measure and measure your max dimensions (length x width x depth). What electrical upgrades have you done now? What kind of box are your subs in now, the box could be an issue as well?

Kinetik 600 power cell
jcarter1885 replied to BanginGMC's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Well you still can build it into your amp rack and mount it, I just wouldnt worry about hooking it up right about now until you need it and no problem. -
Depends more on budget, goals and what all can fit. Give us more information, read the new member guidelines to see how to make an effective posts so we can help you out as much as possible.

Kinetik 600 power cell
jcarter1885 replied to BanginGMC's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Nothing would ever hurt, but do you need it No. If you want to install just to get it in there and not have to worry about doing it in the future then be my guess. I used to have a red top under the hood and batcap 800 in the rear and when I just had highs amps in the car I wouldnt take the secondary battery out, it stayed in there (didnt hurt the system at all that I know off). -
New to the Car Audio game, and my friend got me in big lol
jcarter1885 replied to DeezyDee's topic in General Audio
Tell my buddy Hove I said "Whats up," glad to see your getting your system planned out. Yeah a box is crucial to the install, and if you dont have confidence or time to do it then it will be no problem in letting someone else do (but it is easy). I wont stress to you to build your own box, you know what your physically capable to do with the time you have and its your money. I build boxes to but when you see some other people's craftsmanship then why not fork over some change for a better box (I will be in the future). Also check out craigslist in your area and see if there are any woodworkers who would be looking to do some work to earn some cash to build you a box, Argent Audio on this forum is doing great work and shipping out boxes like clock work. As for the gap, if you dont need an eq I wouldnt waste my money just to find something to take up that space. I use an Epic-160 in mine since I didnt need the slot and wanted my Epic-160 there instead of somewhere else. Cant really help you here. Sounds like you got a good list of equipment there and cant wait to see a build log with pictures. -
If you dont plan on getting a better alternator I do suggest on getting a better starting battery, I would check out XS Power battery on this forum and see what battery fits your location (can be used as a starting battery and have some juice to power your system): I Have a XXXXXXX watt sytem. What battery do I need? - SSA Car Audio Forum It just seems like your stock electrical is just not enough to run that system and the cars normal duties too.
