Help setting SSF properly on a saz 3500d..
jcarter1885 replied to mrbojang's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Start at the halfway marker and work your way down until it seems like your subs are reaching or going past there excursion limits. Once you get to that point, turn it up a little bit. -
Glad it was a simple fix
-
Measure how big your stock battery location is and find one on this list that fits.
-
The meter will notice a difference more than you if you upgrade amps, but you should notice some difference (hard to tell how much). User Error will keep you from destroying the sub more than the amp itself, you can mess the sub up off a 1500D just as easy as a 2500D. Hope that helps.

How will you integrate the mounting stud into the enclosure since you have to use them when mounting the sub the way you are? -
RCA cables
jcarter1885 replied to Branden2202's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I've used cheap $10 RCA's from radioshack without a problem. I think the only real variance in RCA cables is shielding\twisted pair, you might get some ground feedback\distorted signals but I doubt it.. x2, I have used cheap ones and expensive ones (both do the job). I got cheap ones at first to hold me over to get better quality ones and didnt notice a difference really (just personal preference really). -
x2, its funny how some people complain about something they didnt pay for. Enjoy it man.

Car should be ready for a road trip by then, system wont be ready but Ill be down to get ideas and chop it up with ya fellas.
-
Its not about who has the loudest system and have not gotten pulled over for it, its about being smart playing any system that can be heard a distance away with your windows down (even some factory systems fall fault to these citations). There are a lot of people with loud vehicles who have not gotten pulled over for them.

Well this will not be in effect for too much longer, in Florida they are stating this law violates the 1st amendment. Slowly they are getting rid of this violation, always bump responsibly. I cant remember the name of the case in Florida or what county it was in but its on FloridaSPL.com. Definitely wont happen asap, but who knows since people still bump at excessive volumes with there music.

I like the Space Jams in the background , pissed cause I missed out on them again. Have you installed the new box yet, if so any difference in sound? Whats the specs on the old box compared to the new one?
-
Find away to help the air escape out of the false floor area, redo the ground as you said before and check your connections as well. I would also make sure you have your gain settings set right, you may be have them to high which can cause excess heat as well.

I have a pair of Crescendo CCX65 Components and I love them, worth the price and everything. Nice midbass and great overall sound. They dont have nothing on the Hertz MLK's I want but for now they will do, thinking about buying another pair for now as well. They are the talk of the town on FloridaSPL.com and have great reviews over there as well. Hope this helps.

No there wouldnt so just keep the AP1500D and run the Xcon on that.

higher voltage = higher dbs?
jcarter1885 replied to harveywong's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
A bigger H/O Alternator may be better if you can get one, how often do you charge your secondary batteries? -
Sounds like it to me, basically just be as patient as can be and FI will update you personally when they get an update to your order. Thats what happens when you deal with buying customize sometimes.
-
Yeah I enjoy it more than a lot of others, great community here. What amp do you plan on getting for your mids and highs, since you said your upgrading.

welcome and nice video

BIG speed bump in getting my SMDs bumpin
jcarter1885 replied to BanginGMC's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I like all this talk about the SMD, Im planning on grabbing one 15" myself on a Sundown SAZ-3500D. -
The biggest one you can find for your car, some companies dont list all there alternator options online so you may have to call and/or email them to make sure they have one for your car.
-
It depends on what your stock alternator is, you can start with the Big 3 Upgrade and get a volt meter to watch your voltage. If your voltage starts to drop significantly then look into a secondary battery.

so much fail in this thread What till you get your car to go about this process, just my .02
