I have also decided just to buy another can or two of black spray paint and just leave it black. Im gonna build another box, testing box for the Zv.1 15" and SA-15. Im thinking somewhere in neighborhood of 3.25ft^3 @ 32Hz with 45-48in^2 of port area.

AudioPipe APSM1300: Control Settings and Cooling on Bottom of amp:

Are you stuck on just those subs, why not 2 SA-10s at 1 ohm or something else?

Nice work put into that car, love the layout that you can see in video 3. Backseat must be killer for anyone who sits there, looks like its a in there.

Nice video, makes me want to grab an 18" and go sealed with it. I like your tweeter placement as well, how does it help with your sound stage besides raising it up some (been thinking of something along those lines myself)?

I would go with 35hz personally since it will be a comp box, still give you some lows but better high end response than 30hz.

I definitely am happy that I go the Z back as well, now i will start on a collection of 15" subs or just sell them. Im thinking of Xcon and Mayhem next to try out or the Crescendo's whenever they drop. It will at least be week or two before I get the review to you but it will be up soon. I just got the amp around an hour ago, the only things I dont like about it is that the settings are under the amp so it needs to be set correctly before you mount the amp. Plus the fan is underneath the amp but the mounting feet are dropped down almost .5" to make up for the space underneath the amp to allow for airflow. Now onto pictures of the amp itself.

Damn that is why I need to find a significant other who shares the same passion as mine, until then Im like Lil Wayne - yeah im single. Congrats on the amp dude, enjoy it.

Red part is just because the people don't build the correct box for it. Xcon buyers are most of the time more aware how to build the correct box or/and the manufacturer's specs are closer to a good enclosure. I would say it has more to do with the actual recommended box and tuning from the manufacture more than user error, those Audioque subs are made to have a higher Fs and stiffer suspension. Jacob did a little write up on them as well. I have heard to many times that those subs dont sound right or appealing to most so I doubt its user error. It is more user preference if those subs will sound how you want them too. I have heard a pair and didnt like them and they were in the correct enclosure but to each its own. OP if your only concern is loud then i would go Audioque but a budge and goals will help us answer your question better as to which sub is for you. Are you interested in other brands as well or just stuck on these subs?

x2 or search and look at the millions of threads on the internet about it as well. -
battery questions!
jcarter1885 replied to mwerling1212's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I would put whichever one fits under the hood under the hood, so if you have room for a group 31 battery under your hood then put the Deka 9A31 there and the smaller battery in the back by the system. -
I like the flat black look of the alts rather than the other colors and finshes you can get for them, keep up the good work dude

This is basically a which is louder thread . As posted above by denim what is your definition of performance? Read new member guidelines so you can understand how to post a new topic with all the valuable information needed to help give you the best answer for your goals and application.

We are looking for more information than that, of course we seen that in the thread that contains the limited information on the SAX-200.4.

Finding the right amp for a odd ohm load
jcarter1885 replied to Aurelios's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I definitely wouldnt get AudioPipe over Cadence but it all depends on your budget, I recently got a Audiopipe amp because of the low price and size (will be a temporary amp for now). I wanted to see how it would fair against others out there but that doesnt mean I will put it on a pedal stool neither. If you have the money then give us a budget and get what fits within your: price range, budget and size requirements. There are a lot of options out there but first you gotta decide on what you want to do with your system and what your goals are, then go from there and pick out your equipment. -
x2 or any specs on the 200.4 for that matter, I know your under the weather Jacob so whenever you can. Thanks.

Yes man you dont understand, no bass in 11 months and still looking at the end of the month before this is installed but well see. I want to replace my primary battery with a XS D3400 since it is in the trunk and dont want to have to unhook everything and take the box out to get to the battery.
-
Im thinking that I may just finish up the box with the black spray paint and get some spray bedliner or just get someone to do it for me. Well see what happens within the next few weeks.
-
I started spray painting the box, the port will be black and the undercoat on the box will be black. I will either be using black stone or grey stone spray paint for the final coat just havent decided yet, more pictures will come soon. I finished filling the speaker hole with silicone and wood glue to make sure there is a permanent seal. I picked up some screws today to use to mount the subwoofer with, since its raining I will have to take a break on the box for the next couple of days (damn hurricanes ). Sub amp will get here tomorrow and I cant wait Port Box Half-Painted

haha , "4 amps and 2-12" subs was priceless.

I like, I like . Whats the plan with this towncar, same setup or upgrade?

Ill be running one SAZ-3500D also, right now Im looking at getting a 275A from DC Power plus a D3100 or two smaller xs power batteries as a secondary battery. My primary battery will be a D3400, if that is not enough I will get more but that may be sufficient. Another person you could ask is Nate@XS Power, he would be able to help you out as well if you just want professional answers since thats who I talked to. Hope this helps
