I have received a few things from SSA Store and never had a problem, if it was an issue or mix-up I was quickly contacted via email. My Boss Amp just got here in great condition and working properly and I cant wait to get the 2010 Icon 15" in a week or so. Keep up the good work. You mean Mark signed the speakers for you? I never got a signature I only do one signature a year, and I'm saving 2010's for some one special. Am I that some one special

x2 at least it looks good

You should pin this in this topic and speakers/subwoofers so when people ask what are the best components we can give them a link with answers

Yeah you can but the real question is that difference worth the $1800 price tag difference. Go to your local shops and listen to the low end hertz or morel and then compare to the high end products. Trust me you will notice a difference, it may be minor but some want that extra acoustical performance from there speakers over what average users use. But at the end of the day it will still come down to the install.

yeah for , it helped probably like 5% at its best only at low volumes really. Just did it for kicks definitely wont stay that way, regardless blanket there or not I like it firing into the cabin more than the rear. My trunk and license plate would rattle like crazy but not as much now, I just gotta get rid of the rattle of the shit underneath the car caused from the low tuning of my last box (26hz). Im thinking of tuning my new box to 27 or 28hz if I do rebuild, most say you wont notice something but hey guess call it a personal preference.

Thats what I was thinking, both amps will have a plexi cover with grey casing and both made by Zed. You cant beat that anywhere, thanks for the input as we are on the same page. I'll be able to tell how well they match up with my Leviathan when mine arrives. Well keep me posted as I think my mind is made up on the Zed Audio Kronos since I will be able to put it on my 40fold seat with no problem and room to spare since the Boss is on the 60fold seat.

My attempt in a temporary seal until my sub gets here, I thought you guys would get a kick out of it: Front View: Rear View: Im still thinking of ways of how I want to seal off the cabin from the trunk I will put plastic around the box and frame of the car so it can be removed easily when I use expanding foam, if I use it. Im also thinking I may want to build another box and possibly tune it lower but I will wait till the sub gets here and see how it performs in the current box. Dont flame me to bad Oh boy did I have big plans for that rear deck if you were wondering, never finished it (time to get a new cover but not a main priority).

Bravox audio wattages if running active
jcarter1885 replied to RollinOn23z's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
I would run the mids on the front two channels and the tweeters on the rear two channels and go from there. Mids crossed around 80hz on high pass filter (lower or higher depending if they can take it or not or where you want them). Tweeters crossed around 2,600-3,000hz on up on high pass filter, sometimes with lower power levels you can cross a smidgen lower but it really depends. I would see what the company had them crossed at on the passive crossover that came with it and start in that region. Hope that helps.- 1 reply

^^^^^If you cant make your own baffle rings then get a shop to make them for you, thats what I did since my baffles were going to be in the doors and I knew moisture would mess up the mdf. So I went to a shop and got mine made of polyurethane plastic (about $40-50 for the pair but worth it). Not saying you have to get them made in plastic but just another option as well but most 6.5" speakers are oversize 6.5" or 6.75" speakers. Your cheapest option would be to get some mdf and measue your speakers inside flange diameter and outside diameter and use that to make design out of cardboard or if your tool worthy then draw it on without a template. Cutout the baffles (make them as thick as you want 0.25-0.75" if need be) and viola. You can do the same as above with the tweeters and measure the original frame and go from there. You can also put the tweeters in the sail or A pillars, dont know how much work you want to do or put into the car. But if you take pictures it would help make better options available for you, hope this helps.

I thought you just picked up the Boss. I did just pick up the Boss and that is for my highs, I have a temporary 2 channel amp for now on my mids but not the final amp. Im looking at a Zed Audio Kronos or Cadence ZRS-2002 for my mids, size is the overall determination so I gotta wait to see on that. By the way love the box design man, definitely will be needing another one in the near future so be on the lookout for a pm from me man.

A couple of shots of the setup minus the interior speakers since I just finished installing and cleaning wires a bit, these are pictures before the 2010 Icon 15" and sealing the cabin off start. Cabin View: Another Cabin View: Trunk View: Side not, its time to start sub amp and mid amp shopping.

Yeah I feel you Sir-Lancelot sorry about making you switch them out but I knew you wanted something that would cross lower. The fact is that you can cross the Seleniums lower, you just cant throw a boat load of power at them when crossed down to 3,000 or 4,000hz. Yeah I hope these Seleniums will do the ticket as I know what I will be buying if they dont, at least these super tweeters are cheaper than anything else in car audio. The horns are my next and last choice so I know what to do if I ever want to change, but hopefully these two pair of ST200's do the trick. When me and my brother start talking again I will get pictures of the Lincoln, the same day I told him I wanted to buy it later that night we got into a fight. Considering he was leaving the Texas Rangers game and intoxicated he wanted to talk shit and I had to body slam his ass so his panties are in a bunch right now but its cool (my mom and brother in law had to break us up).

Group Buy on a Zed Built Boss Audio REV-665
jcarter1885 replied to Aaron Clinton's topic in SSA® Store
For this stuff, not that I know of. Just bridge the 4 channels. Wont work with my application since I will be using 4 ohm drivers and using 4 off them total, no problem though. -
Here you go J-Road Tatts, not to in depth but straight to the point. If someone was on the edge of car audio and didnt know if super tweeters would be too much for you then try the Selenium ST200 and if you want louder then work your way up. After playing them side by side, I find that the Crescendo XST2 Super Tweeters are louder and more raspy while the Selenium ST200s are smoother (if im allowed to use that word to describe a super tweeter). Honestly I love how the ST200 sounds, just ordered another pair why not. Im a dome tweeter guy and these feel like the dome tweeters of pro audio super tweeters/bullet tweeters, hope this helps someone if not

Never seen the twist tie idea before thanks for that.
