Psychoacoustics is all it is, do you have a tl or something that measures the difference besides your ears? If not than that statement you made is an opinion , nothing can beat what the law of physics states especially not human ears.

2 12"s ? Help me choose, please!

Enclosure size and port area is why it is not playing the lows. -
Wrong, you can under power a sub all day long. Clean power and a clean signal is the key, not really the power levels till you start going over the subs rms.

100 watts would be enough power to get it to make sounds. Just sell your Icon and work on selling your current amp till you can get a higher powered amp if you still deem it necessary. Im in the same boat as you sub wise, I just bought an Icon and wanting a Xcon right now as well.

The quantity means how many sets you want, which would be 1. A set includes: two 6.5" mids, two tweeters and two crossovers. -

Well some people are more responsible than others. Some people just can't be trusted with a potato gun, way too much responsibility. x2 its not for everybody but in the right hands you can have fun with it. -
Bass restoration processors
jcarter1885 replied to cobra93's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
To me over the years I have been thinking about getting rid of it as for as wiring goes and to be able to have a double-din unit in he dash instead of a single-din and epic-160(just personal preferences thats all). I have had it for 6 years, if I can part with it I wouldnt mind if someone was really interested in trying one out but if not I will keep it. I have had my fun with but dont plan on keeping it all my life either, to me it's like a toy you can only play with it for so much. I was just trying to help you instead of you going to out to buy one brand new(they can be pricey) if you were really interested in one. The gain knob is to allow you to control how much bass enhancing you want to do to a song, some songs will require you turn it up more than others. Most songs wont need it and some will but this will also depend on your listening levels as well, at low volume the gain knob comes in handy more than it does at moderate or high listening levels. The one plus to it is if you have your volume at 3 or 4 and you want a little kick from your subs just turn the gain knob, this can be done on any song (new or old, bass lines or not). -

I personally love mine to be honest with you, I listen to a lot of old school music where it helps enhance the bass line. If you dont listen to old school music or music with limited basslines then I wouldnt get one. Most individuals who damage there sub using one dont use it correctly, just like the bass boost feature on an amplifier as well. In the wrong hands and on the wrong music than yes you can cause more harm than positive. It also has a voltage read out that is accurate but the mic isnt accurate like the tl meter but it does help with tuning and tweaking to see if you gained or loss dbs, may help or may not help you. I like mine and had fun with it, if your really interested and you dont want to pay full price for it then I wouldnt mind parting with mine. If not more fun for me, just trying to help out. Just my take and experience on it. -
Have you nailed down what your gonna do sub wise, Im liking the new Stangs.

Front stage speaker static

///M5 is saying unplug channel 1 and 2 from the amp and see if certain channels are causing the problem, if the rcas may be a problem. This will help you eliminate a couple of things and then do the same thing with channnel 3 and 4 unplugged while channel 1/2 are plugged in. -
If not today then more than likely Friday (tomorrow), considering those are the last two days in this week unless there is something that pushes them back.

When they were blowing on it? Biology 101 We inhale Oxygen and Exhale Carbon Dioxide. C'mon banging I thought you would at least said when they opened the trunk up, some oxygen got in there. When did spitting on a fire ever put it out and why did they decide to pour water on an electrical fire, FTL

New Front Stage Amp
jcarter1885 replied to Shogen's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
About usually 1-3 days to receive it from Jacob once shipped, I have received things faster from Jacob then a lot of places I get shipments from. I would say Sundown and KnuKonceptz are some pretty fast shippers. -
Nice score man
