Kicker war horse
jcarter1885 replied to Yang's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Must be a problem with the amps or no market for them at that price right now, wonder if they will drop the price on there other amps as well. 3 sets of +/- -
Can we get some better pictures? From what I can see it looks good so far.

Is the X driver going to be placed on the back burner with all these updates to SA's? Are you trying to get a platform going before you start producing other subs again, just curious as to see if the X driver or any of your other drivers will go these improvements if they have not already? Keep up the good work Jacob.

If i remember correctly the chargers have a 160 amp alternator and plenty of space for 2-12"s ported and then some. Upgraded battery and big 3 with the installation of a volt meter is a start for the electrical. You mean the battery in the trunk, Chargers man battery is in the trunk.

Im glad you got everything working right, I knew you had the gains a tad bit too high. Have you done the Big 3 Wiring? If not check it out: What other amps do you have in the car if any? -

The amazingly EPIC yet slightly tragic judicial system.

Cool story bro, tint looks dark. -
Active crossovers are the headunit, amp or external eq between the amp and headunit. Instead of using a passive crossover and letting it do all the work, you will have all the drivers individually ran off different channels of the amp. You will have to continuosly tune the setup to get to your liking and it will take more than some days or a week or two. Not saying you cant do it, go for it man and ask any questions you have. Personally if you do go with the Bravox I would say stick with passive crossovers as you will probably take forever to reach the performance they will get with the crossovers that were designed for them. Just my .02

You can buy matching tweets to go with the AA carbons, BKOLFO4 on here is a dealer for Ascendant so send him a message about any questions or concerns you have. He will also be able to get you pricing. We need more information then help me pick out a front stage. Where will you be mounting these drivers, how much space you have to work with, how much work you are willing to put into the doors, how much chopping you want to do the doors or the panel itself, how much expertise you have in installing a proper front stage? If I were you I would start with a two-way setup(midbass/midrange and tweeters) up instead of a three-way setup (midbass, midrange and tweeters) since it will be way more difficult to construct, tune and install. I would run the 2-AA Carbons on the SAX-100.2, one bridged to channels 1/2 and the other driver bridged on channels 3/4. I would use the SAX-125.2 for the tweeters, just my .02

This has been answered plenty of times, do some research in this actual section and you will see this has been covered before.

Curious to see if you guys have done any testing with other PA drivers such as B&C, RF, Faital Pro just to name a few. Looking to see how your 8's stack up against the competition, currently I have my eyes on a B&C 8NDL51 .

I want a new Leviathan, would be perfect for horns on front two channels and mids bridged on last 4 channels.

Read the post above yours and email any questions or concerns to that email address.

You dont have your subs wired for a 1 ohm final load, I bet you have your subs wired to 0.5 ohms and you blew one.

Im gonna ask Brian, the dealer on here what the displacement is Im thinking its .15-.16ft^3. It cant be .20ft^3 because the 12" mayhem is .18ft^3 and it has a triple stacked magnet. The havoc has double stacked magnets, Ill let you know when I find out.
-
x2, if your worried about it then add wooden blocks or something to take away some extra internal volume you dont want. Whats the displacement on those Havocs, considering getting a pair myself? Thanks

You got me wanting a pair of Chuck Norris' in the trunk, great video man. Windshield dont look like it wants to stay on

The SMD's wont even need 5,000 watts either. The tuning will depend on personal preference, musical taste and goals/application.

So are you guys trying to truly help him pick a subwoofer or are yall just suggesting what yall have in your car. If so Before you buy a new subwoofer, what is wrong with the current sub you have? What enclosure is it in? Give us more information buddy and we can help you find something that fits your goals and application.

one 6" aero may be fine for your application but I will let someone with more experience with aeros chime in.
