For a real competitor then i wouldnt tell him how much to run cause he would already know, this thread wouldnt even been made. No disrespect to the OP.
-
You went backwards, ordering then asking . They arent meant to play music daily and are really for competition use/burp only but people will still do otherwise. If you never competed before then i suggest sending Fi and email and changing your setup to the N2's, they will do just fine daily and competing. Headroom can be your friend but the AudioQue 20K may just be too much for them, the AQ3500.1 will work as well and have less stress on your electrical.

That Lenco Swedge-On Tool is the best crimper I ever used and recommend it to anybody, not the best but does the job well.

its just supposed to go along with the talk show theme.. It's all just for fun He hasn't come out with any more talk shows since that one. Im glad, that video/talk show was horrible even if it was for fun. He got some nice numbers with the one 12" though, wish he would of gave more info besides 1000 watt test amp and what enclosure specs he had. -
Cant wait to see the failure threads on N3 subwoofers by customers playing music on them, especially by users whom have no idea what they are doing but see you guys doing it.
-
He wont notice the difference in 300 watts at all.

Distance Test and Flex! ....the usual...lol

Song is not top secret at all, I got about 3-4 different versions of it. Shit slams and gets loud though. -
Curious to what made you switch amps? Looking good so far.
-
No such thing as a certain amount of watts needed for the sub to break in, the suspension will loosen over time.
-
Hilarious... damn you turned into a douche bag. who says douche bag besides a douche bag. Its hilarious when you back up your opinions with he seems like he knows what he is talking about. Next time do some research with the info your given instead of posting thinking your right because of what someone told you. Do you use welding wire? No, so how can you comment if you have no in car experience with the wire like some of us who actually posted in here.
-
People do believe in break-in, its the definition of break-in that some are confused with. Break-in does not mean playing your sub with 10 watts for a few weeks, it means the suspension will loosen up some (as you noticed in your application) among others things.

Im excited as well, I wanted to wait on the new Zed Audio amps since they have the prices up but no ETA was established.

Jonathan's 1994 Camry Wagon build. | Video(s) on page 22!

I also would try to figure out how my set of Tweeters on my Bravox components blew first, so it wont happen with your Hertz. You usually want to try to find the cause to the problem instead of replacing right away or you can be in the same boat a few months from now. -
The only car audio updates so far are (4) 300Amp fuses, two more fuse holders (db Link). Once it gets here I will post pictures up, stay tuned.

Go out and listen to different comp sets, each one will please your ears differently. Asking for advice on components through someone else's ears is like using a blind mans eyes to get across the highway. I have heard good things from both companies, cant see where you can go wrong. Get whats in your budget if you cant go out and listen to them then just save up your money to get a nice set when you can put some time into researching component sets. -
Some shops know what they are talking about, while most of the others are a comical relief.

backing a sa-3500
jcarter1885 replied to Lschevy's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
8 out of 10 times they are especially with a 3500D but nobody can tell you exactly what models and how many. You may do 5 minute trips to work or have to drive 30-45 minutes to work. You may like to listen to your music on full tilt 80% of the time or you may be the person who keeps it at a moderate volume. It just all depends but yes I would look at getting two batteries, just saying you dont know if you will need two at first. I would budget to get two and install everything first with one then determine if you need a g31 sized battery or something smaller for reserve. -

Dude nobody knows the answer to this question, every electrical system is different and will respond different. There are too many factors to decide if it will be enough or if you will have more than enough. Your best bet is to install an HO alternator, upgrade your main battery and then install a volt meter. Depending on what size alternator you get and starting battery, a second battery may or may not be needed. But all this will be determined by your listening habits, competing or daily and so on. If your competing then the more battery juice you will want and the same if your planning on doing a lot of demos. -
well have fun fellas

Kinetik or Shuriken
jcarter1885 replied to Ohjay's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Ive heard good about both, some shops have switched out there Kinetiks with Shurikens for the price vs performance factor and have had great success. Its a toss up and both will do the job, just my .02 -

From some reviews I would steer away from db-electrical.com, remember you get what you pay for. If your looking at an HO Alternator, look to spend $300-350 or better. -
He will probably update soon, but he place another pair of Seleniums in the car and they are in the rear doors I believe.
