    stefanhinote's volvo v40 build

How much does it hit by, try shaving down where the speaker mounts if its not by that much?
  3. Not exactly are the new amps copies of Sundown compare the parts considering they arent even made in the same buildhouse anymore, I looked last night. The Sundown 3500 is more beefier than the Crescendo 3500, the Sundown 4500 looks to have the same parts as the Crescendo 5500 but looking at them means nothing. Even the old discountinued Sundown SAZ-2000D is beefier than the new Crescendo 2000 amp. Price would be a determining factor for most but with the delays and problems Crescendo had Im weary of getting the first handful. Im gonna sit it out and wait to make sure the heatsinks are up to par since that was what held them up the longest in production.

    stefanhinote's volvo v40 build

Just a old cotton shirt, Although fleece may be easier to stretch / work with. Dont use fleece, I was reading Ponte is a better fabric to work with. It is what swimsuits are made out of and they carry them at fabric stores (just a heads up). I'll have to buy some next time and try it out. If my computer didnt crash the other day I would have given more info but that is all I can remember at the moment. Fleece will work but Ponte is much better and easier to work with if you can get your hands on some.

    MLG Dallas

Yo! I love dallas, I've been going there every year since 07! Theres like, phucking 5 downtowns! lol, Not a huge fan of their HOV lanes tho.... lol Yeah man we have the biggest metropolitan area if you include Fort Worth, I love it here too. I hate the HOV lane only because I ride by myself all the time but if you got a passenger with you then its your best friend.

    shuriken?

Yeah there are plenty on this site and other forums. It depends which one you buy but most have the same install (positive, negative and remote). Something to power it and turn it on, plus it has to be grounded. You could easily hook it up to come on when the radio comes on, when the car comes on or when the key is placed in the ignition (it just depends what you wire it to).

    shuriken?

Yeah just buy one now and put it up front and do the Big 3, then when you get some more cash go scoop up the second battery. But with the first battery and big 3 installed I would also install a volt meter to even see if you need the second battery in the trunk. If so you may only need the $70 Shuriken you were looking at early, so when it comes to electrical its hard to say what you will actually need till you install it.

    shuriken?

I honestly dont see anything wrong with them, for that price I would grab two. One up front and one in the back, I used Optima's in the past with good experience.

x2 and nice old school amps

    shuriken?

Yes big 3 will do you justice, if you dont want to replace your stock battery then I would shoot for the BT35 or BT45 whatever is in your budget then.

    shuriken?

no harm in my book, anytime. I bet the battery you want might hold up better than what you have now but the question is will hold up when your going all in. So really your listening habits play a factor as well (how loud and how long you listen to it when its at full tilt.)

    shuriken?

I honestly would look at the Shuriken SK-BT45, its $70 more but it will probably help out with your future upgrades. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_34278_SHURiKEN-SK-BT45.html If you upgrade your stock battery then I would look at the SK-BT35 just to make sure you have enough juice for days when you really want to crank it. Just my .02 http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_17902_SHURiKEN-SK-BT35.html

I understand and you just gotta look past my sarcasm, thats why I post pictures after I speak.

    shuriken?

Dont get your panties in a wad because you cant post a good link, I understood everything you said. Your link is of a new post and not of the battery you are asking about. Also asking what size battery will do the job is kinda pointless since every electrical is different. You need to post more info such as size of alt and other amps you will add to the situation. If your planning on upgrading and adding more power then try to get the biggest battery you can. Instead of skimping on one now then having to go buy another one when you upgrade.

    Jonathan's 1994 Camry Wagon build. | Video(s) on page 22!

So your bothered that he told you the truth about the battery, did you do research on XS Power Batteries to see where they float at? If you did then you will realize they float higher then other batteries, usually around 13-13.2volts while other 12 volt batteries float under 12.9volts. He was actually giving you an excellent tip, every battery should be charged before placing in a car (if you read the installation instructions on batteries it tells you this). Seems like a good seller with great information to me.

    2009 jeep

I didnt even notice that in the pictures until you said something about it, that is kinda weird. Have you hooked them up yet? What size enclosure and tuning did you end up going with?

    I need a 2500 watts amp

A DC 3500 is cheaper than a Sundown 2500 ! Got it ?! I don't know how are the build quality and the parts used in it, but it's a new option for me. MAP vs MAP it isn't. Dealer vs Dealer it isn't. So obviously you got quoted between dealer and MAP. But I wouldn't be surprised if the Sundown 2500d was close in output. That means he has no idea. x2, Ford302redneck have you ever tested one or seen a test on either of the DC Amps. If not dont speculate we dont pass info around like that here, only facts. Thanks Ive heard good things about the DC amps, come from the build house that Cactus Sounds amps and where the Sundown SAZ-4500D comes from. Prices are around the same as the Crescendo amps that will be coming out in the next few weeks.
