Are they one of the new toys being released soon? Any dirt sheets in the near future as well? Warden 12" seems to be holding up well during the test, I wouldnt mind one or two myself.

Yeah I have mine in the kicks as well, for the price they are great and meet my taste well. I have had problems with the terminals myself, hopefully they will hold me over till I get some horns for under the dash. I cant wait to see the wall, should be badass.

MTX 1501d linkable?
jcarter1885 replied to SMpaintball78's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I would jut sell the amp and find one amp that is 1 ohm stable with the power you need. Even if the amp was strappable it should be ran at 2 ohms not a final load of 1 ohm once strapped. -
Thats why I also asked about 1700W. I hear people throwing more watts than a subs power handling so I figured I would ask if the Havoc could take over its power rating daily. If a company rates their subs at 1250 rms why would you want to throw a 1700 rms amplifier on it, seriously ask yourself that. If its for daily and your not chasing numbers then why would you think 450 watts over rms would benefit you. I would rather have less rms on my sub and it last longer then buying recones for a daily application but thats just me. I mean if all things are equal why would you ever want to overpower a subwoofer. Thats like a doctor telling you that you can overdose on 5 pills but you want to argue with him that you know someone that it took 10 pills for them to overdose. Why would you take those chances and do more than 5 pills? Just like everybody's body is different and will react different, the same goes for car audio. Everybody listens to their music different, shorter/longer time periods, different volume levels, among other things. Just cause someone listens to there Havoc with 2000 watts on it for 5 minute spurts does not mean you can throw 2000 watts on it for a daily scenario.

Naw more so facts, opinions are subjective really and wont do everybody good. You ask a question with no information included and you state rms power like you dont understand that too much can damage a driver. So you were really looking for facts not opinions. Under certain hands, enclosures, conditions yes any sub can take more than rms but if its for daily then stick with around rms power and tweak the design for your application.

No need for two threads about the same topic. Its simple, the havoc has a 1250 rms rating and the Mayhem has a 2500 rms rating. The enclosure will determine what rms to throw at a driver, pick out what goals that you want since those subs are designed for different listeners. I mean c'mon man, if you have to ask then why would you want to throw 2400 watts at a havoc. If your even thinking that then the Havoc is not for you at all.

6 cubes before or after displacement? Im pretty sure its after displacement since he says he has 12 cubic feet to play with. 6 cubic feet falls in the recommend enclosure range so I dont see why it wouldnt work as far as getting the best out of it that will come down to testing and more testing. I dont see why not, if its not loud then you are doing something wrong.

Thats crazy, I always insure stuff for more than it was purchased for to save my ass and avoid hassles at the end of the day. Bad business in my eyes especially not testing it first. Hopefully somehow this gets worked out for you in a timely manner. -

Damn that sucks to hear, was looking forward to see what that 10K would do on the Zcons. Yeah I dont buy used amps just for that reason unless I can test before I buy. -
Just cause you have an upgraded alternator and one extra battery does not mean you have a stout electrical, with the Sundown 3500d your gonna need another battery. Do you have a volt meter in your car, if so what was your voltage dropping to with your Hifonics amps?

Is this a true 2000 watt amp?
jcarter1885 replied to Iownyoujk's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I think its a good deal but I dont know what kind of box it is, that could be the deciding factor for me. I know that isnt the best equipment in the world but for the price you cant beat it at all as long as everything is working correctly. If the box is a nice well built custom enclosure then yeah I would take the deal, this allows you to have a temporary budget system till you can get what you want. Then eventually you can replace subs and amps for something better. It depends how much you want to spend on some equipment and what you want, what is your overall budget? I would even try to bring the price down some if you can, money talks. -
