Sounds sketchy to say the least
-
Both, it depends on the vehicle and where the port is. It also depends on the placement of the box itself in the vehicle, the placement of the subs on the box plays a role as well. In car audio there are too many factors to consider, but you can get a general idea of what works best if you can find someone with the same vehicle or equipment. The real question is help with what?

So how do you know you werent drinking or texting(ie looking at your phone) if you dont remember? Not trying to be a dick just wondering..... Glad you walked away with no scratches, shit looks crazy.

If your question isnt answered by Monday, give IA a call and ask for Nick. I get faster responses usually when calling or emailing vs the forum.

Its gonna be hard to find ported enclosures in your trunk because most will be real wide on the dimensions, i dont see many enclosures with more depth than width. So if your trunk is 70" wide then i dont see how your gonna fit 2 decent enclosures in a trunk, which its not. You trunk is not that tall to stack the boxes on top of one another either. Dont cheap out on an enclosure, it will be the highest factor in your system sounding good or bad. Just my .02

Good car amp
jcarter1885 replied to argenis69's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Your gonna get bad and good opinions on that amp or any amp in particular. I would find something in your budget that is dependable and can hold you over till you get what you want. Like Impious said 1500-2000 watts is fine, the amp turns usable power into heat rather than watts anyway. So unless competing its not worth it, try focusing on an efficient enclosure more than the amplifier. Just my .02 -
You would bump a year old thread just to make this blanket of a statement, fail on your part.

Would you run 4 15" audio pipe TXX bf's
jcarter1885 replied to Flawlezz_RyderzCC803's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
The shop building the enclosure should know how to do this, but 4th order ported through the rear deck is one way. -
Comps look good Jacob

Suggestions for subs in dodge intrepid trunk
jcarter1885 replied to rythe88's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
I would stick with a 15" or lower, 18s in cars aren't really optimal. Not saying they can't fit -
Im guessing why buy a new amp if you have one sitting around that will do the job.

Not a good reason at all to do it but to each its own (im pretty sure i have done dumber things growing up). I'd hate for you to do it to someone with bad road rage (just might be the last time you do it).

Glad to hear that you like it A fold down arm rest with a pass-thru would have been great. Unfortunately I had a solid plastic panel, no pass-thru. I had the same as well but I took the whole seat out and removed the solid plastic panel. Once I let the arm rest down it was a pass thru, so it will do for now.

bc2000d fuse capability.......
jcarter1885 replied to tbear55's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
You dont even have to use a fuse that high, the fuse is there to protect the wire and the amp. -
I like that, great idea for anybody with a fold down arm rest. I get tired of pulling my arm rest down everytime I get in the car and vice versa.

What does your front stage consist of?
-
Yes it is too much to ask, you get what you put into it. If this was a serious thread and you took the time to give us proper information then no it wouldn't be to much to ask. Dont know if your trolling with your threads or not but at least put the effort into following the rules on how to make a thread.

thanks. im not worried about what its doing at the moment. i will eventually find out though It did some great numbers but ill wait and let Timmy tell ya. Good shit so far Timmy, too bad you gotta take it all out again.

That's what I had an issue with when I used my Kenwood deck 4 years ago, loved every bit of it except I couldn't see the display in direct sunlight even with 5% tint. That sucks to hear because I wanted to go back to Kenwood.

If box size is an issue then we all know Sundowns take smaller boxes but being on this forum everybody is gonna recommend SSA so its pointless to make this thread. If your leaning towards Dcons and don't want to take up to much space then do one 15 or two 12s, simple as that.

What is the new front stage gonna consist of since your selling the components?

He doesn't have or want subs just PA speakers located on a wall behind him.
