What to look for when buying a used amp
nigel replied to EddieC's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Last amp I sold I had unhooked sitting in the garage. I told the buyer to ensure he had all of his wiring in place to hook up/test it when he came for pick up. Which he did. We hooked it up in his vehicle and had it running for 5 minutes or better before he left so we were both satisfied. Kid is still bumping it. And a couple months layer he called me up to buy the other amp I had sitting in the garage. -
Ooooh... Purdy.

I've made the mistake of rubbing my eye after eating fire Cheetos without thoroughly cleaning all the powder off my fingers first...that was pretty hardcore suck age as wellI've touched my face after wrestling with a guy covered in pepper spray. that sucks huge.

so much truth in such a short statement.

The heating/temp issue that you're experiencing sounds like a possible air lock in the coolant system and possible a sticky thermostat. As for the dash lights... Good luck.

I realize Halloween is coming, but no point in starting z-day...

Run the saz1500 for sub duty, the bc2k's one per side to the sls's and bridge the ia 6.4 to the fountek's... -

For what purpose? Lot's of different styles/designs for different applications.I personally wear magnum boots for work, but many wear original S.W.A.T. or 511 tactical.

Need amp advice

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_76262_Hifonics-X2600.1D.html I know some will knock it, but it should do what you're looking for. Or for a little over $400 http://store.soundsolutionsaudio.com/products/sound-qubed-q1-2200d-amplifier.html -
This one cost me next to nothing. And I don't need a ton of power, so it fit the bill. Plus it'll match the sedona series 850.1 I have powering my substage.

Congrats.

New 4 channel for when I do my front stage.

Nope, they didn't notify me, or ask if I would like the upgrade... So now I have to go through the hassle of sending it back to them as it doesn't work for the intended application. Best part, what I did order is still showing as "in stock" on their site, even though they have none...

well, went home to put my parcel inside, opened it up to see that Sonic didn't send what I ordered... I currently have one RE SE-X 15d4, so I ordered a second one to have 2 in the back of the suv... Well, Sonic is apparently out of stock on them so they just swapped out what I ordered for the v2, a completely different driver altogether, just assuming I'd be, "happy with the upgrade" Not so much when I want to run two of the same driver together...

First ported enclosure build advise and help
nigel replied to sittdogg's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
What to tune to is completely Dependant on end user and intended application. Personally I like to tune between 30-35 Hz. But that fits my personal taste and listening preference. I listen to pretty much everything from country to rock to metal to rap/hip hop to dub step and electronic type music. -

Proper installation can make a huge difference. A "cheaper" driver in a proper enclosure can sound worlds better than a "high end" driver in the wrong enclosure. That is why on here, you will always get asked about what specific driver and power being applied you have before any box recommendations are given. -
Damn fine looking. That's a whole Lotta power.
