thanks ....going to double check my measurements and probably go with the 12... as for the options can some one point me in the right direction... i have been trying to understand them.. but am still a bit confused... i am looking at the Q12 i am not really concerned with "loudness" but more on SQ.. other words not planning on rolling around the neighborhood waking the neighbors ;-) probably not very concerned with pushing it to its limits either... going to go with a class D or a/b amp not sure which yet... but i assume something that goes to 1 ohm ?? dave

have you heard the new .ref line from SS ?? From what i understand it is the original engineers that recreated/reworked them... I have been waiting for my local car audio retailer to get them.. hopefully sometime next week

I drive an xterra so i have the room to build a box how ever big.. i am just curios if i am going to here much of a sonic / quality difference between them... I always assumed 10" were a bit more accurate than 12's... any opinions on that...

hello all, newb in s floirda (Boca Raton) I am in the process of building my car audio system and was referenced to give FI a try for a decent SQ sub... been out of the car audio world for a bit so in the process of re-learning... at present leaning (2) 10" I drive an Xterra so would love to build a sub enclosure that sits behind the rear seats along with an amp stand...

Is worth moving into the 2200D for the extra 120 bucks? And the general census would be go for the 2 10's? ..

Hello all, looking for some guidance .. I am considering purchasing 2 FiQ 10's and using a AQ 1200 D to power them.. I am unsure on the options. i am assuming dual 2 ??? I drive an Xterra so i am considering building a box that would fit behind the rear seats following the slanted contour (thin on top to larger on the bottom) with the amps attached to the back of the box... I figure 2 10's because it would look better than 1 but not sure if i need 2.. Any opinions, thoughts, box ideas would be more than welcome.. Definitly looking for SQ and not SPL. dave

thanks for the welcome... as for music preferences.. its very wide open.. my ipod has mostly rock/metal from Korn to kid rock, fear factory .. sprinkle in The PRODIGY, NWA, KANYE, LL, ICE T and than mayb even a few celine dion and than lots of BOB MARLEY & PETER TOSH.. budget it around 6 for a sub & amp, but i can swing a little higher if needed.. SQ first but also love some good LOW Rumble..
