    Showing off my rl-p

I love when people get in my car and ask me if I have two 12's back there and I just tell them nope, just one You should see the looks on their face when I tell them its made by SoundSplinter, they are like So to the main point of this thread: What are some good songs to show off with? I have plenty of bass songs, but I want some songs that will show just how musical my rl-p is. All my friends know that it can get really loud....but I want some good sound quality songs to show them as well.
  2. Tune lower then 34 if you want the nut shaking bass.....
  3. On the contrary, the RL-p can and will bottom out if fed too much power (it will take quite a bit of power before slammin' though). Seems everyone here has laid out the cards and now it's time for ls1pimp to make some decisions. For one thing, lay off that gain man - you don't want to destroy the woofer before you have a chance to get your setup set straight! Get your wiring to the battery and try to find a way to use either a 1.25 - 1.35 NET volume sealed or 1.5 - 2.0 NET volume ported @ 34 Hz enclosure. 0.85 cu ft NET is simply not going to give you the output you want PERIOD. Don't forget about enclosure positioning and noise cancellation as well - but seriously man: Get wiring done properly Ease up on your gain - if the woofer is clippin' and makin' all sorts of nasty noise, you are hurting it and need to back off on the gain. Change your enclosure So now that you've heard this so many times, are you ready to go do it?! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, he will still probably need someone other then the owner of the company to tell him, because he has a hard time thinking a box would have so much of an affect on the output, or that some ghetto wiring job is the problem. I mean all you do Mike is make d@mn good speakers for a living and provide incredible customer service. So why in the world would anyone listen to you

    Heaven for a RL-p 12 D2

Whatever works best for you Not sure on what size what would be the best though. Might want to PM or email mike. I have my single 12" in a 2ft^3 tuned to 34hz and I've only got to mess around with it for about 5 minutes using a friends amp giving it about 200 watts and it sounded really really good. Especially only getting 200 watts.

    Heaven for a RL-p 12 D2

Why do you want it tuned so low? I'd figure if you want to tune that low you might as well go sealed.

Either way you can't go wrong! Going ported or sealed?

    Need help with a box

Could someone help me with the dimensions for a box. I'm wanting to go 1.8^3 @ 30hz. This will be for a single 12" rl-p, and will be going in the back of a tahoe, so room isnt really a problem.

    Need help with a box

Well I had someone at caraudio.com come up with a design for me, one was for 1.65^ft3 @28hz and the other was 2.0^ft3 @34hz, but I forget my amp doesn't have a subsonic filter, and I was going to buy an inline 30hz filter, so which of these boxes doyou think would be better for my amp and sub?
