so i was looking at onlinecarstereo and i have always wanted to try some Kappa's, perferably Kappa Perfects, but i can't afford that at all right now, i just need to upgrade what i have, which is garbage. i just bought a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee, the chick before me had a "system" in it. my coworker that knew her said it was a pair of some MTX's, he thinks 9500's. (she was some little druggie/dealer and was all drug money rich) anyways she completely blew the car stock speakers (some Infinity Gold speakers). before blown i'm sure they woulda been sweet. and i coulda tuned it fine. but they are blown to hell and i need new ones. basically, what do you recommend, i have around 100 to blow per pair. but i wouldn't mind going cheaper. i just need something that will last a while and sound better then what i paid. so far i'm looking at Infinity Kappa 63.7i, anyone have any experiece with this series? or any Kappa series really. all input welcome and much appreciated the speaker size needs to be 6.5" ... idk what the mounting depth can be. anyone know? also what are the details on the stock amplifier? i can't find anything about it.

awesome, any input on some other cheap speakers? some with decent midrange if possible too.

so it used to work just fine a couple months ago when i used to come on here alot. and now i'm trying to watch embeded video's and all i see are teh letters that you would put in to embed the video. does that make sense? anyways, how do i fix this, i looked in the settings but i couldn't find anything relating to embeded videos

so i've seen videos and people have a little digital volt reader on there dash, it reads how many volts the battery (or alt?) is putting out, and it has blue numbers... where can i find one online and what are they called exactly. also, i can't exactly afford 1/0 gauge power wire set from street wires, which is who i want. and i can't wait any longer to get my system put in my new car. i have a SAE 1000D amp with a 12" Fi Q going into a 2001 grand cherokee. stock alt is 100amps. anyways, i used the 4 gauge in my previous car, even though it's rated for 600w, thats what people on here told me to use. i wanna upgrade my system to a BTL or Xcon, i haven't decided yet, but i want to upgrade my amp too either an SAZ 1500 or 2000. i know the 4 gauge will hold me back quiet a bit with the upgraded system when i get it, but is it worth paying 200 dollars ontop of the 120ish that i'd pay now for the 4 gauge. i plan on upgrading as soon as possible, probably within 6 months.

my mom has a 67 C10 with the small rear window, original paint (touched up) and a 350 small block and my step dad has a 72 cheyenne, i'm not sure whats in it. but were restoring that one, and the C10 is up for sale.

hey guys. so my parents want to get me something pretty big for graduation this June. I can't think of anything that sounds really appealing. i want something that i cause use for teh next couple years.. or if it's something like a 1 time deal, something that i can have friends go with. or just to have great memories on. basically, all i'm asking for are idea's. or what you recieved as graduation gifts, anything is welcome. it doesn't matter how much either, neither of my parents graduated, and so they said that they want to get me something really big for graduation. plus it might help my brother want to stick with it, he's been getting into alot of trouble lately.. so anyone please help me out.

use 3/4" MDF, that will be just fine for a single 12". i have a 12"q, i have it in a 1.5 cuft (before all displacements) and i'm realy happy with the performence. i havent heard it in smaller box, but this one handles really well. btw i'm in a Nissan Pathfinder. i don't think this will help too much, but i know you'll be happy in what ever you put it in. just keep it under 1.5cuft

Before that it was high-flo crappers, so I guess it is a step in the right direction. atleast i was somewhat interested in that. the way doo doo runs into our perfectly clean waters can be kind of interesting. on that note, as anyone had first hand experience with the toilets that wash your crack for you when you flush? i can't believe somebody didn't mention putting that in their house!

i'm havin a high quality dinner tonight. i'm at my moms, hanging out and i didnt realize dinner was done. so i go out there and get some. the only thing left is mashed potatoes, and corn. wooooo good thing i love both, and good thing i love both mixed together i just got a big bowl, fillied it up with the rest of the mashed potatoes, which was alot, and topped it off with corn and then gravy mmmmmmmmmmmm im expecting to run to mcdonalds in a couple hours for dinner haha

x2, my thread, i demand if you threadjack you need proof of pics damnit! on that note, i already have a laptop, i actually just bought it a couple weeks ago. i gotta send it in cause my wifi card was a defect the next day i got it. but i paid 1000 for it (it's a gaming laptop). it's pretty nice i love it. on that note i knwo what you guys are talking about they are getting really cheap, i built my last desktop 3 years ago, 1000 for all the parts and software (another game pc) and it had a 7900GT in it, 300 for it, now i just got my laptop with a 9600GT in it, and it was only 80 dollars for it. my jaw dropped, i never stayed up to date with it since i built mine. i had no idea Scion was yota, in that case i really wouldn't mine it. my first car was a corolla. also i checked for MSRP on the tC and for the 08 or 09 (which ever they have on scion.com) MSRP is 17 grand. my only problemm is that it is a car, and i'm a SUV/truck kinda guy.. mainly for the large storage/4wd. i'm outdoorsy. any idea's on a nice, new SUV/mid size truck? remember i'll be in college so MPG needs to be decent.. also to who ever said payments in college suck, i didn't think about that! thanks. though the whole point in my parents buying me something, is that they actually buy it. my parents are well known for scammin me for money... when i got my corolla my mom offered to buy me studded tires as a first car gift, i said okay i was just planning on buying really cheap used ones anyways, so just go get some used ones. she says okay and goes to costco, comes home and drops the tires off in front of my car, says i ow her 450 dollars for the tires. i was pretty pissed, especially since i just used all my money to get the car, and i just started working so i had no money to drive around and enjoy actually having a car. she said she gave me 50 dollars off with the tires, they were originally 500... thanks mom. so this time i'm makin sure i'm not gonna get cheated out here haha

i honestly wouldn't mind stayin in a dorm. though the dorms here would kinda suck. the college i'm going to for my first year is only $14,000ish with dorms. dorms are only $3000. and i could do that, it's an option i considered, but i'm only planning on staying here for this one year then i'm going down south. i was thinking a nice newish car. i really like the Scion tC. but mechanically idk how it is. i'm just going by looks i suppose. as far as cars what do you guys recommend? and idk what the spending limit is, i know it's gotta be less then 25 grand, cause i asked them if they could get me this super nice 06 Grand Cherokee, but it was too expensive. and i know i can get atleast 5ish grand out of them. cause a couple years ago my plan was a 4 wheeler, but i kinda grew out of that now that i plan on moving after a year here.

i'm trying to remember where i read it, but as more idea's you can set up a cheap sirin in a couple smart spots, that way when a theif tries to cut the alarm.. or pops the hood. anything like that, the sirens will go off right in there face. example one, i read that someone put a single siren under the steering column in the dash right next to the fuse box and rigged it to where if the wires were moved at all, they would touch a grounda ndmake the siren go off in they're face. also they set up a siren or 2 in the back of there car, that way if they were to pop the trunk, or rear hatch, it would blast off in there face. idk, stuff like that. same goes for bright bright LED lights.

i have a 12" Q in a 1.5 cuft sealed box. though i'm in a small SUV, and i love it. i get compliments all day on how loud and clean it is. it isn't toooooo loud on music, of course depending on teh sub, but it's there. i want to go ported just to get some more out of it on music. if i don't like it i'm going back to sealed. think of it this way, it's only a 30ish dollar loss if you don't like it. and if you really don't like it, then i'm sure you can sell it
