Does the CDT Eurosport 07 component set live up to the hype. The retail on the 3-way component set is crazy. I'm debating getting me a set of these or if I should stick to Sea's Reference, Dynaudio, or Focal. I'm looking for a serious front stage (3-way fully active) and wonder how these CDT's Euro's compare the the above mentioned. I listen to jazz, blues, rock, and rap. I currently run a set of Boston Pro 6.5's and I think they sound very nice so how will these CDT's rank up? Thanks for all opinions.

cool, did not know that. hmmm, maybe run 2 channels to the horns and bridge the other 4 channels to a Nice set of 6.5 or 7" midbass. How would that be? Make some recs on Nice horns then...

Recently got my D7506 in. Pics are in the amp section if you want to peep them out. This is my question. I'm going top end for my system. I want this to be my last system for a while. I have been into car audio for 15 years and have had some pretty serious installs. I never competed in a competition. My goal this year is to take home at least 1 big ass trophy for a SQ system. I started off with this chit, Audiocontrol MVC, Audiocontrol 6XS (which I may not need with the Diamond - hence 3 seperate fully active butterworth x-over's on the D7506 alone) (2) Audiocontrol EQT's, the D7506, and the D7402. Sub will come later on. This is my question: I currently run a set of 2-way Boston Acoustics Pro Series 6.5's. Everyone tells me that they are crap and there are soooo many better brands. I have always been pleased with the Boston's but I am ready for a change. I will be going for a 3 way fully active front stage with either the following brands: 1. Keep the Boston Pro's and add the 4" mid to the set 2. Dynaudio MW 160 7 midbass, MD 140 3 mid, and the MD 100 1.1 tweet 3. Diamond Hex 6.5" midbass, 4" mid, and 1" tweet set 4. Image Dynamics Horns with 4" mid and 6.5" midbass 5. Sea's Lotus Excel 6.5" midbass, 4" mid, and 1" tweet Does anyone have any experiences, good or bad, with any of these 3 way component sets? I welcome all advice, opinions, comments, criticism, etc. Sorry for the long ass post, just hoping to stir up an intelligent conversation about some serious components and this seems like the best place to do it, p.s. have yet to seen any dickwipes on this forum. Thanks again, Dez

Promised pics of my D7's when I got them. These are quick shots. I will get some better ones once I get some more time. These are the finest amps I have ever seen or touched in my life. They put the Zap's to shame really bad. Each one weigh roughly 20 lbs. and the build quality along with the crossover's and list of features and options are unmatched by any amp. I have not heard them yet but I can be pretty sure with the statement that these amps will go toe to toe with anything. DAMN! they look good. I am so happy I chose these over the Zapco's.

Zapco Vs. Diamond
dezyrme replied to dezyrme's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
EFFENDI, that is exactly the way I feel. I owned several Zapco amps and will compare them equally to many different amps, PPI ART, RF Punch HD & DSM. Yes these are old school amps but I can not justify spending the extra loot on the Zap. And those damn ring terminals are reason enuff for me to pass. Also my local dealer ask why I was selling my Zap AG's to upgrade and I told him that I was ready for the Ref's. He laughed and told me it was the same boards. After reading through the D7 manuals, they seem to be some of the finest amps ever built. They incorporate technology second to none. Plus the review I read by Zeff himself on the D7's was a deal closer by itself. The crossovers and ss filters adjustability can not be matched. I feel that I made the best choice. My D7506 & D7402 are on the way. -
Base your choice on experience and sheer quality of the product. Thanks for any opinions as well.

I have been researching the Diamond amps. Should I go with the new D6 line or the discontinued D7's?

Crossfire amps for SQ?
dezyrme replied to dezyrme's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Those amps look NICE. I have a local dealer close to home. Im going to call and price them tomorrow. Limited Lifetime Warranty. Thats unheard of in car audio. Hmm, could these be my amps? 1-D6600.4 & 2-D61500.1 -
Crossfire amps for SQ?

What Diamond amps are worth looking into. I see them on a couple of websites as new but on the Diamond site, they are DC's. -
Crossfire amps for SQ?
dezyrme replied to dezyrme's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Thanks for the welcome everyone. My next consideration in line is Arc. Then a tie of many different companies (Crossfire, Orion, Etc.) I really HATE the connections on the Zap Ref. amps. How am I going to get a 1/0 cable to that amp. I wish I could find some nice full range amps. I feel that I'm going to be paying a bit extra for some extra processing that I have no need for with all the Audiocontrol gear I'm bringing into the install. I'm in the process of selling ALL of my audio equipment in order to make this amp purchase. I want these amps to last me for a while and not allow me to get the urge to sell them and upgrade. Thanks again for the welcome and the input. -
Crossfire amps for SQ?
dezyrme replied to dezyrme's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Is that directed to me? I am aware of the difference in the quality of the amps. Zapco is at the top of the list. That is the entire reasoning behind the post, to see if anyone has some solid experiences with the Crossfire AB line. All I will be using the amp for is pumping wattage into the front stage. Thanks for your kind reply though. -
I keep hearing over and over to spend the money on speakers and processing. I am debating on buying a zapco ref. 360.4 and a 1100.1. This will set me back like 1400 bucks for new stuff from an authorized dealer. I am highly considering scratching the zapco amps and going with Crossfire. Either a vr404 or 2 - vr402's for the active front stage and a vr1000d for subs. I know Crossfire has a stellar reputation for SPL amps and that. Anyone have some good SQ competition with any of their class AB amps? The processing will not be an issue as I will be using an Audiocontrol MVC, 6XS, and 2 - EQT's. Thanks for any and all opinions or comments.
