    I almost feel guilty

I haven't had enough experience with these types of amps to be 100%, but i'm 99% sure. Somethings definitely not right. What should I do?

I don't think its hot because he had he birth sheet, box and manual. But I do think that it might be broken.

    I almost feel guilty

I know it's my first time wiring a 4-channel amp but i'm pretty sure the rear channel is broken... I have tried every possible wiring combination to try to get something out of the rear channel and I've gotten nothing. So it's either something that i'm doing wrong because it's my first time.... or the rear channel's broken and that's why it was $200. It has a 2/4 channel switch. I hooked up each individual speaker, bypassing the crossover, to it's corresponding input. I put the tweeters on the front channel and the mids on the rear channel, and ran a second rca from the head unit's rear pre out to the amps rear input. I also swtiched the 2/4 channel switch to 4. The tweeters worked but the mids didn't. So after that I switch to the 2 channel option. So 1 channel to the front and 1 channel to the rear input. I connected my mids only; left mid to the front channel and the right mid to the rear channel, and only the left mid worked. So I tried the most basic test of all (at least I think it is). I hooked up all 4 speakers and I only hooked up one rca from the front preout to the front input and the speakers worked. I moved the rca to the rear input and nothing. So the rear channel is fucked right?

It's in perfect condition cosmetically and mechanically. I feel pretty lucky.

    I almost feel guilty

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-eitL8Th3maf/p_113KDCX696/Kenwood-Excelon-KDC-X696.html I would just have to switch the preout to the front instead of sub, correct? And I only have one RCA, so if I only hook up to the front will i still be able to run all 4 channels? Or should I just hook up to the tweet or mid only? First experience with a 4-channel so i'm not entirely sure what will work, what should work, and what should never be done.

    SAE-600d question

Another question: I have the SA 6.5 components and it says they are 60 rms a side. So 30 to the tweet and 30 to the mid per side? I got a great deal on a RF T800-4 and it does 300 x 4 @ 1 ohm and 150 x 4 @ 4 ohm. Either way the amp's overkill, but it seems like my gain is going to have to be extremely low even at 4 ohms to keep from damaging the speakers.

    SAE-600d question

Is the amp available in the store? It's perfect for my application but it has no image and the description saying that it's essentially in a prototype stage.

I'm definitely going to try it out before I drive off. He said he really needed the money, but even if you really needed the money you could sell that equipment fast and make at least $200 more. I have my mono block installed right now. If I was to swap it with his amp on the spot (swap the power, ground, turn-on, and rca) and hook it up to my components real quick would it work? Or is the rca that goes to my mono block only for bass? I've never hooked up a 4-channel but i'm assuming it should just be a basic swap.

    I almost feel guilty

I'm assuming he really needed the money because he took a massive hit on that equipment. Easily lost a $1000 if he really bought everything brand new like he said.

    I almost feel guilty

I was gonna buy everything and resell it all but I just missed the 1500bdcp. I'm torn between keeping the 800-4 or selling it and making a quick 100 bucks... or more lol. Not even sure what a legitimate resell value for a < 1 year old RF amp. Probably could get at least $350 for it.

    F/S Fi BL 15" & Rockford-Fosgate T1000-1bd

    The BL is sold!
  13. Starting a new thread since I no longer want to trade. Reason for selling: Honestly if I wasn't switching cars then I wouldn't be selling this equipment. I no longer want a "loud" setup, I want more of a SQ oriented setup with filler bass. I'm essentially downsizing my equipment and redoing my entire install. The equipment is in perfect working order and has never given me any problems. Fi and Rockford-Fosgate build some seriously high-quality products and I would definitely buy again and again. Items for Sale: 2009 15" Fi BL (Universal and cooling options) 1400-1500 RMS Was in my car everyday for two years. Never clipped, never pushed too hard and was always in the appropriate box. 9/10 cosmetically and 10/10 mechanically. I bought it from another member on this forum in 2010 after he had used it less than 6 months. It was a 10" but I had it reconed to a 15" in 2011. Still pounds like the first day I installed it. Only trades I would entertain are a 8"/10"/12" sundown, SSA, or Fi model that can perform well in a sealed enclosure. (If you have something else in mind let me know) This sub is an absolute monster. $230 + shipping unless you live in Michigan. (48420) & Rockford-Fosgate T1000-1bd (2008 model) 1400 rms x 1 @ 1 ohm 1000 rms x 1 @ 2 ohms 650 rms x 1 @ 4 ohms Never had any problems with the amplifier. I was the second owner and I purchased it from another member on this forum around the same time as my BL. 7/10 cosmetically because the face plate is scratched pretty good. The rest of the amplifier has minimal wear and tear. Only the face plate is scratched. 9/10 mechanically because there's a little noise when you adjust the gain while the amplifiers on. Not entirely sure why but it's never been a problem. Never been in protect mode, always babied and the gain has never been above halfway. I do have the bass knob but I do not have the birth sheet or the original box because I did not get those when i purchased it. $200 + shipping (48420) $410 + shipping for the pair Prices are negotiable as are any possible trade offers. I would trade the amplifier for a mono block that does around 500-700 rms I would trade the sub for something of lesser stature that performs in a sealed enclosure (E, SA, Fi Q, Fi SSD, XCON, ICON, DCON, GCON) Contact me on this forum or directly at (810-610-6629) The proof is a little washed out but you get the jist You can see the the two scuffs on the right side of the sub but they are just that, scuffs. Purely on the surface. You can see the scratches on the face plate. I never used the face plate so it just sat in the back of my trunk. I regret that now. Ol' faithful Close up of the face plate All problems with this amp are purely cosmetic. THANKS!

I purchased a 4-channel amp locally. Still have the amplifier and the BL. Would really like to the sell or trade both.

WTT - Fi BL 15" and RF T-1000bd

I could do the name and date tomorrow but the video under the same username I posted from youtube should be solid proof. I don't have access to a DMM for the coil readings. I know a person's word isn't worth much on the internet but I can assure you and every potential buyer that the sub and amp are in perfect working order.

WTT - Fi BL 15" and RF T-1000bd

Update with pictures! I forgot about the scratches on the face plate. Its pretty beat up from sitting in my trunk for the past two years. I never used it so I forgot to mention it. Besides the face plate the amp is 9/10 cosmetically and 100% fully working. Any other marks, other than the ones on the face plate, are from the picture being blurry (apparently there's some quality loss when you upload from your mobile) The sub has zero marks and is a 10/10 cosmetically and 10/10 mechanically. All blemishes are from it being dusty. I really don't want to take it out of the box, due to the box being old and shitty and lacking new holes to drill into, but I will for serious inquiries obviously. Not sure if it's taboo to post your number but I prefer to communicate and exchange pictures through text. Feel free to contact me at 810-610-6629. I'll be more than happy to send you any pcitures you'd like and talk about trades and pricing.

Proof that the sub and amp exist. Shortly after it was installed a few years ago. Still pounding like a champ. Edit: Apparently I dont know how to embed a video...

I was hoping for something smaller than 15". A beefy 8"/10"/12" would be best. Ill keep the Q in mind though, thanks!

WTT - Fi BL 15" and RF T-1000bd

Pics will come tomorrow sometime after work. In the meantime imagine a pristine 15" Fi BL and an aesthetically pleasing older model T-1000bd. I'm hoping for some serious inquiries before I uninstall everything for pictures. I don't like to go 1 car ride without them
  25. Amplifier: Rockford Fosgate T-1000bd Recently whenever I turn on my amplifier, regardless of the vehicle running or any input signal from he head unit, just subwoofer on solely, my subwoofer proceeds to violently shit itself. The noise is absolutely terrible. It's just a one pitch note (pitch varies) and is always extremely loud. This has actually been going on for a while. The noise will happen very sporadically and for different lengths of time. I can go a week without the amplifier doing this or I can go one solid month with the noise every time I turn on the amp, no break. It will also go away for months at a time and then come back with a vengeance. I've figured out that if I detach the ground and power for a period of time and then reattach, the noise will disappear for a while; but usually it comes back within minutes. This used to be a solid fix for the problem but recently it does nothing. I have no idea what to do. My ground is completely fine and all connections are solid. I am currently opening up the amplifier (If i can ever get the sum bitch open) to check and see if there is any visible damage. Really need some help troubleshooting. if you need any specifics just ask. I would really like to get this fixed.
