My buddy has 2 10" subs (cheapo off brands) and 2 12" subs (Dual Audio) and the tens are being pushed by a 300 watt amplifier and the 12's are being pushed by a 580 watt amplifier. I told him that i could buy one sub and be louder than him but he doesnt believe me. So I am asking you guys whether or not a Fi Q 12"or an AudioQue HDC312 (both powered by an AQ1200D) will be louder than his setup. I am almost positive just based on the fact that he has chit subs but i am also wondering if he just has to much of a cone area advantage. Do you guys think i'll be louder?

I really like the idea of 2 SDC2.5's instead of just one fi. FINAL VERDICT 2 12" SDC 2.5's Or 1 12" BL opinions

Has anybody one here heard both Fi and qudioque subs? because i would really like to here their opinion on SDC's vs BL's. I know the Bl is a higher quality sub but im wondering how it goes against to SDC's

Is this box already made? because you sound like you have the exact specs for it. You may want to rethink your goals of turning heads with that little of space just like old skool said.

I would suggest the Q. Higher Quality sub. What amp are you using? I would be careful with the mounting depth too. I dont know if the Q will fit, it will definitely be close.

To FF5, I was also thinking about the SDC2.5 but i didnt know how well it performed but from what you just said it sounds like its a quality sub To ///M5 I didnt even think about the BL. lol. I guess that would work out for what i am trying to do. I do kinda like the idea of 2 SDC2.5's though. So i guess now my question is in everyone else opinion do you guys think 2 SDC2.5's or a Fi BL will be more "efficient" to what i wanna do?

Thanks for the obvious insight on how to use a CLIPPING indicator. I have the common knowledge. I know how to set the gains on my amp and i know when its TOO MUCH for the amp. i was thinking the SDC2.5 12's at first but i was doubting the loudness of them. But then again i have never heard one

Fi BTL 12" = too much for a 16 year old w/ a chitty job Fi Q & HDC12 = just right price I already said thats the reason why i do not want to go down the BTL road

This is going in a 2003 Trailblazer I never said i want just SPl because i decided on the FI Q. If i wanted just SPL then i would deff. save up for the BTL instead of the HDC312. At 1000 watts isnt the HDC312 gonna be more SQ than SPL? Because just like Shizzon said, anything above the xmax is gonna be SPl right

Money. lol. Thats why im not going with the BTL. If i get that then i have to buy a battery and a more powerful amp. It all just adds up. Thats why i was trying to stick to around 1000rms because i will need minimaly upgrades but still get the output i want. And Audioque is cheaper than FI so thats why i was leaning towards the HDC312. What do you suggest i get? All i want to do is prove to people that there chitty ass 4 subs can be beat by just 1.

Ik the HDC12 is mainly an SPl sub but i just wanted to know if people thought it would be louder. I bet the SDC2.5 12 will still be louder even at 600 rms.

When i want to show off my stuff im always afraid of blowing my subs. I was wondering if there is a formula or something that you guys use to make sure you know where the subs limit is? If i dial in my gains to where the amp is not sending clipped signals when the head unit is all the way up, does this mean that i can turn the head unit up as much as i want and not have to worry? I have an Audioque HDC312 "1000 RMS" sub Audioque AQ1200D all wired at 1 ohm

Yeah, thats how i figured out how to set my gains without a oscilloscope. Thats also where i got the idea that maybe if i set my gains to the max volume, then i would be able to turn it up without clipping. Ive also hear ALOT that you should never turn your head unit up to more than 75% of the top volume. I was jus wondering how loud i could get my sub before is tarted to damage it. Thanks
