Thanks guys for the opinions! This was in a budz Blazer last summer.... If it weren't for this install, I might not've got the Icons in my Ranger...LOL This took me most of the summer to do and I put my install on hold for this one..(he was paying cash..LOL) It is a little too much red bud that's what he wanted. Now he wants a set of SSA's after hearing my Icons! Maybe next summer! LOL

Crushed Velvet.... He liked the look of the black in my Ranger, so he went out and bought a few yards of the red.... I thought it was a little too much but, it's his ride and he's the one who has to look at it everyday..LOL
-
Super Nice Job!!! I just read the build log..... Keep up the awesome work!
-
Nice and pretty!!! Mine has silver baskets and gold terminals..LOL It didn't get sent to paint I guess... Still works like they're supposed to. I love em' !!! And you will too!

If there's too much port area, the velocity will be too low and the subs will bottom out due to lack of proper resistance. If they say 12-16sq.in. per cf3 then I'd try to not deviate from that too much.

Voted too! And got a few friends to also... Hope it helps!

what washers and nuts to use for allthread?
Jay-C76 replied to shizzzon's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
Actually... When it's locked down under a little tension, it woun't flex or move at all. I could hit these with a hammer full force. It just made a "ping" sound and hurt my wrist a little..LOL -
what washers and nuts to use for allthread?
Jay-C76 replied to shizzzon's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
no not really... just brush a small layer of f/g resin over the nuts and threads after everything is good to go. Plus it helps seal up the holes. LOL...I should post up pics of that install that's pictured.... That was massive! Quad R/F T115d2's -
what washers and nuts to use for allthread?
Jay-C76 replied to shizzzon's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
Oh, and yes, to get the nuts on the inside you'll have to add the washers as needed and spin the nuts as you feed the allthread in. make sure you measure and keep things where they go. You don't want to stretch or shrink the chamber. -
what washers and nuts to use for allthread?
Jay-C76 replied to shizzzon's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
I'd use 1/2" allthread..because you'll snap 3/8" just by tightening the nuts. Flat fender washers, and regular galv. nuts. -
Pics dang it!!!!! I'm having withdraws!!!! LOL
