On bandpass enclosures, specifically 4th order for the moment, but I will be messing with 6th order later. I am always re-reading the diysubwoofers page. If anyone can reccomend books, sites, etc.... it would be great. Also an general rules of thumb too.

VFL 150.1s are great amps. Make lots of power. Our team at one point had around 20ish, maybe more. On 18v, they couldnt go below .7, and some cases .35 or they would fry. They are also very sensitive to the rca voltage as well at that high voltage. On 12v, they could go to .25, but had to be rolled.

Yes that should be fine. You may need a relay for the remote turn on though. Try it out first. Good amp choice.

It should run daily at 1 ohm, just watch it. They also dont need modding to be run at .5 or for high voltage. Yes you have to hook up all of those powers, grounds, and remotes.

I am burping my loudest freq below the tuning of the port. My only question is, how much lower should I tune the port to? I burp the loudest at 47, port is tuned to 52 Would tuning it at 45 be okay?

Well I guess Ill just tune to like 37 and cut the port down to mess with it.

Yea. Its very weird. My guess is that it has to do with box impedence? Its weird because for everybox that I have built excpet for one, so like 5, my burping freq has always been at 46, which was the loudest, no matter what tuning the port was at.

Okay this year I compete in DB Drag Street B, and SLAP S2. Next year I want to do street max 1-2 in DB Drag and SS1 in SLAP I currently have 2 vfl 150.1s I like them, but they just arent doing it for me on 14v. I want to get new amps in a few weeks, and hopefully use them next year too. I have a few in my mind I have been thinking of, but I wanted to see if anyone could chime in with some good, strong amps at 14v. Thanks.

Hmmmmm lol I think its obvious what I need, to get louder ha. Its funny they tested with SXs, because thats exactly what Im using right now. Do you have any test results of a colossus at all? Or know anywhere to buy the autotek or goliath? But this will mainly be for SLAP, where I will have 4 kinetik hc2400s for battery support. Until next year, when I do street max.

Not out yet. I guess Ill put the amps that I have on my list 20.1s Z1s Colossus 200.1s A few more I cant think of right now
