I was looking at the Alpine PDX 2.150 to run the Clarus 61-2 comps. I talked with Scott and he says that the PDX is not a really good SQ amp. He did mention the new JL HD amps. I'm looking for a amp like these that are small, don't get hot because it will be located in the cargo compartment in my Trailblazer.

Are you using the internal crossover in the amp? Did you originally run the HAT passive and then switched to active? I have a Alpine 9887 also. I'm ooking at the IDQ 12 w/ PDX 600.1 for substage. Do you think this will be a decent setup? -
