How good or bad are US AMPS compared to other high end amps

i know this will probably sound bad, but how unbiased of an answer do you expect to get out of this question, when you are posting in US Amps official forum. . .

    Sundown Audio SD-1 "Blowout" Sale

They work in TINY enclosures... 99% of the people that bought them before the close-out sale used them in truck boxes. 0.5 ft^3 with some polyfill is no problem... could even go a hair smaller with a denser poly stuffing. my biggest concern is i'm a big guy and i need all the room i can get in that truck of mine. . . if i go with three of them, i can make a box that will give them about .48 ft^3 each, but if i go for 4 of them its closer to .38 ft^3 each. . .and thats if i put them in one common chamber. . . i might be able to go slightly bigger, but i'm thinking only .1 or .2 ft^3 each at the very most. . . the price you pay for being a large man and loving to drive mini trucks i guess. . .

    Sundown Audio SD-1 "Blowout" Sale

i'm lacking alot of space in my single cab truck. . . so i'm thinking the twelves are out of question. . .but what do you think the smallest enclosure size that the 10's would work in well. . .i'm thinking 4 of the 10's would look nice behind my seat right now. . .

    new to fiberglass

no problem. . .i've been trying to work on some kick panels and a center console for my sonoma since May, but with the heat and humidity the way it is, i haven't gotten anywhere. . .nothing like sitting in a metal box thats 120 degrees after sitting in the sun for a couple of hours. . . and look at the post above this one. . .that is a decent outline of the procedure. . .

    Enclosure recommendations for 12" Atlas

sorry, i had mine behind the front seat of my single cab sonoma. . .i wouldn't even to begin to imagine how to place that sub if i actually had room for it in my truck. . . give it a little bit. . .i imagine since you have that room, building a ported enclosure might open up that sub a little more. . . i'm sure someone on here can offer some advice, just wait a little bit. . .

    Enclosure recommendations for 12" Atlas

i had my Atlas in a 1.5 cube truck style box and it sounded fantastic in that much space. . .the box was sealed and i had around 400 wrms going to it. . .i imagine 300 watts will do just fine but i don't remember what the recommended enclosure sizes were for the Atlas anymore, i think my 1.5 was a bit large for sealed though. . .

    Arsenal Specs

well between those 2 options, there isn't much of a difference in price so the only decision is which one to get, and not just go ahead and buy one of each to play around with. . .i am trying to keep my sub under $200 (which both are), so i had to take the Fi Q out of the equation and that was looking like such a nice option for my truck. . .

    Arsenal Specs

I know the arsenals are finally up on the shop's page, but they are still missing the specs. I read they are rated at 500 wrms, but what is the suggested max for them. Also, I may have missed it in another post, but I don't remember seeing what their mounting depth is for the 10 and 12. I'm hoping that its 6.5" or less, I'd like to have another AA sub back in my Sonoma by the fall.

    First IB attempt

love the idea. . .too bad it didn't turn out all that well for you. . .lets see the sealed box
  21. I've been thinking about changing my sub setup in my regular cab sonoma for a couple of months now. Currently I'm running 2 RE10s in a sealed box each powered off of one channel of a Hifonics zx4000. I've been throwing around the idea of putting 4 of the Tang Band 6.5s in there to gain some space back for me to be more comfortable, but I think I'd rather go with something much louder. Originally, I had an AA Atlas 12 behind my passenger seat, and I really liked the sound of it, but with its 6.5" mounting depth, the box i made for it made my passenger very uncomfortable. Like an idiot, i sold the Atlas and went to the RE10s. Well I'm wanting to get something similar to the output of the Atlas back and I don't really care too much about making my passengers uncomfortable anymore so mounting depth isn't a main concern. Basically what I'm looking for is a single 10" or 12" sub that I can put in a relatively smaller box behind the passenger seat in my truck. I'd like something that was as solid as my Atlas. Price is a little concern. I want something under $250 and preferably under $200. I'll be powering it off the Hifonics ZX4000 for now, until I can afford to upgrade my amp. So 4 ohm SVC or 2 ohm DVC would work the best for now. Any suggestions?

    Changing my Sonoma's Setup

i'm looking into the new arsenal right now, and at that price i think its a hell of a deal. . . i'm just wondering how they might compare to the old Atlas. . .i really liked the sound of that sub. . .i guess you would say i'm more into SQ but I do like to get a little louder than the Atlas used to . . .the Q is at the top end of my budget, but is it more SQ oriented than the SSD? . . . most of the talk I'm hearing about Fi's broducts seems to focus on the BL and the BTL. . .

    Changing my Sonoma's Setup

well, one of my RE10s took a crap on me and the cone seperated from the surround. . .2 years of mild abuse is finally taking its toll. . .i'm going to inspect the other one today and if it isn't too bad, i'll epoxy the cone to the surround for now. . .but it looks like i'm going to build a somewhat small ported enclosure for 2 tang band 6.5"s that i have lying around the house right now and run each of them at 4 ohms to a channel on my hifonics amp for now. . . however i'm still looking for as many options on a 10 or 12 inch sub for the truck as you guys can give me. . .i figured with all the subs you guys seem to try out, i thought there might be some more suggestions for my intended purpose. . . thanks so far guys. . . by the way, i was looking for recommended ported enclosure sizes for the tang bands and i can't seem to find it anywhere. . .does anyone know what they might be?

    Arsenal Specs

thanks, but any chance you can post the mounting depths as well. . .i'd really like to put a 10 or 12 inch arsenal in my truck, but i'm limited to around a 6.5 inch mounting depth . . .
