Hello, why not use google? You can get great results, just like this one : https://ssl.perfora.net/www.ficaraudio.com/sess/utn;jsessionid=154f10771fd45ca/shopdata/0050_Speakers/product_overview.shopscript

They haven't reappeared. This is just a score that is better then the previous because of changes, they haven't found the missing db's

why would you ask that in here? And you aren't banned, i don't see that you have done wrong either. But maybe that post got deleted so i don't know Why so hostile? I don't know if it's in the rules or not, but i think forum bashing shouldn't be allowed. Especially not if there aren't a few good reasons stated.(or if misinformation is givin about that forum....

Weird, someone clicked the minus at my post. Kind of weird since no one said i was wrong or anything like that. But like i have said before, SS is a good product and the performance per dollar is great.
-
From testing , if you do 50% coverage instead of 25% coverage, it will be at most 3db's better. If you do 100% coverage instead of 25% coverage, it wil only help for at most 5db's. But in a lot of cases 25% coverage is enough, if you want to have less sound get in the car you have to use soundbarriers. Alpha damp is better then damplifier pro because alpha damp has a thicker layer of metal then damplifier. It's lighter but much stronger damplifier pro is already quite solid, but alpha damp feels almost twice as solid. I don't know anything about SDS as i have never used those products. But even second skin damplifier is already a lot stiffer then the best dynamat. Someone said SS is overpriced, although in my opinion their price is very competitive. The quality is great at a decent price.(but i live in Europe so prices are different, if i could buy everything at the price you guys have in the US i could buy a lot more things.)

The shipping is 160 dollar, i think he can get 2 recones for the price of 1 recone+shipping. I would do it myself, you can even screw up 1 time and not lose money. Although i don't think it's easy to change the basket properly because i have never done that before. And how much is a warranty worth in the world of speakers? The only thing when the warrenty comes into play is if they have done it wrong.

86db isn't efficiency, efficiency is writtin in % and not dB. Sensitivity is written in dB, and thats a totally different thing. Not really usefull if used for subwoofers.

Depends on your enclosure tuning and power they are receiving. the volume number on the head unit is meaningless. Since Kirill thinks it's funny how people compare speakers to cars, I'll do it again. Saying the volume is at 10-15 is like saying "I'm going so fast, the engine is at 2000 rpm." Although this analogy isn't perfect since they aren't exactly similar, you get my point. Yes, i think it's funny but it's a good analogy. Just because you only push the gas pedal in for 1/4th of its maximum travel doesnt means your doing almost max RPMS or barely any. It depends on the car/subwoofer and amp combination.(also the HU)
-
As you have read, no need to take it easy on the woofers in the beginning. Funny that you guys compare them to cars. Even cars don't need a break in time(as in driving it below half of it max rpm for a while and then slowly increase it.) Best way is to go thru almost all the rpm's (for example if the max RPM is 7200 you don't get above 6000 for a long time, warm up the car and then use a lot of RPM's the more variety you use in the RPM's the better/faster the car will be after it's "broken in", and it should increase the max. amount of mileage on the engine.)

You won't find a cheap 2kw amp worth buying.

Birthsheet = retarded They are unrealistic. ive clamped 7116 watts with my 2 2500bdCP's strapped... but yeah i hear you on the birthsheet deal ive heard that there just randomly generated numbers Whoever told you that is a moron, they actually bench test every amp.
-
so on a budget and buying a skar 600w subwoofer instead of using the SA 600w subwoofer which has been tested and proven on thousands of watts. I liked the build till you changed that. i hope you will be happy with it.

I like the marketing

I'm sorry, but i can't hear a 3db difference well at levels above 135db. And i am talking about music, no tones.. Do you mean that if you heard 137 and then 140 back to back it would sound the same? Or do you mean that if you heard 135 to start with and I rolled the volume up you wouldn't notice? Because it's a very big difference. No, i mean if you hear one guys setup, then walk around for a bit and listen to other setups and then go the one that is 3db louder then the first one. And who says you get a 3db increase, that is a maximal theoretical increase in reality it's closer to 2db then 3db.. I can hear that too(and the high freq buzz of a old tv), but above a certain sound pressure level it doesn't really matters that much i can feel that it is louder but the sound isn't that much louder to the ear.(in my opinion) EDIT: but nevermind, were offtopic.

You won't hear the difference between 500watts and 900-1000 watts. Same for the speaker, it will sound about as loud on 5 as on 15 watts, maybe a tiny bit louder but not really noticiable.

SKAR Class D Amp Prototype Pictures (800W & 1500W)
kirill007 replied to Skar's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I hope they won't look too busy, just a little sticker and keep the clean look. -
Not true, they can be much much louder then in the video on the same wattage. To the topicstarter, how do you set your gains? Do you use a oscope? or a DMM or a other device? It really sounds as if you are clipping in the video, a clear case of clipping. Get a picture of the amp settings, so we can truly know if it is clipping or not. But still the box is too big for the BL's.
-
Put the source level adjuster to 0. Put your loundess to off instead of high. Your gain looks quite high, but i could be wrong. Upload a video of the sound, first turn it up to 9 turn the camera to the woofers. Then turn it up to where it sounds like horsecrap and video the woofers.

Triple stack BTL or First gen UFO style BL?
kirill007 replied to Maddenkid2011's topic in Fi Technical
And regardless of older model? Yep, It should but maybe not to the ear but to the meter it would be louder. It's not because the sensitivity is higher that it will be louder. The box is the most important thing to how it will react, you can only test and know that it will work in that application. -

The BTL will only be noticibly louder if you have more power applied to the subwoofer. Although that depends on the enclosure. -
FTW but decaf music is FTL! to much clipping! Decaf his edited music does not contain clipping or clipping which is minimal and not worth looking at.(meaning it won't harm your system.) People like the OP makes us look bad. I spend almost the same amount on amps+highs as i spend on sounddeadening.
