I don't understand why you would want 2 10's on lower power. Instead of a nice 12 inch sub on more power. Like the SA12 on the 1200 at 2 ohms. Or a Fi Q on same amp, or a Dcon or the Ascendant audio chaos.

Red part is just because the people don't build the correct box for it. Xcon buyers are most of the time more aware how to build the correct box or/and the manufacturer's specs are closer to a good enclosure.

Gain was probably 1/4 below max (which is where it would meet the headunit voltage) bass boost is not used, loudness is turned off, the sub was crossed over at about 80 hz and lower from the headunit. The amp did not clip and the voltages were totally fine. There is you're problem. Search the thread how to set gains with dmm and set you're gains correctly.

I braced the box..and lost big time It also depends on the freqeuncy and the way the air flows. The loudest freqeuncy shouldn't be the same as before, the resonant freqeuncy changes so you need to use a different freqeuncy to get higher numbers. And u need to brace so u don't obstruct the airflow too much.

1 Q? are the 99z series the actual Z series? or is it one series lower?

I'm glad you said that...cause I do find the sub is getting louder. Is this because it is breakin' in? How long more before full breakin? Thanks Maybe it's already fully broken in, or maybe it needs 6 more hours... It's impossible to know without having the sub in my hands.

have you done the free air test? (just play the woofer in free air and see if it still makes the sound)

Clip clip clip, how did u set you're gains? How is Bassboost set on the amp and the headunit? What are the EQ settings on the HU?

And to add something, the clipping lights don't detect clipping if it comes from the source.

Sounds like cliipping...and then bottoming out on the lower notes... (i know it has a clipping light but i don't think it works very well.) (could also be the box. )

You cant make the vibrations go away. My enclosure doesn't vibrates.

It's a gain problem. He uses a line driver that boosts his output voltage coming from the HU. So turn the gains down even more, you're are seriously clipping. That's why the amp shutsdown, i hope the sub doesn't has any damage.

If u get a custom alt u can most of the time ask the company to build it that it has great idle output. (and by the way not all DC power alts have good idle output. )

Just ask a smalley pulley for you're alt and then you have better idle output. (It cots less then 1/10th of a battery and will help you out a lot. )

No, 0.5 ohm isn't very smart. Not always impedance rise is going to help u out.

The box also has a lot to do with impedance rise...

I heared people say PWK designs are amazing and other people say that they are just 'decent'. (Even a few guys said that the designs weren't good.)
