    12"Fi Q vs 12 Type R

I don't have a larger pic of the engine compartment, but the sub is to the right of the engine. As you can see there is sound absorbing material. I'm think I might try to sqeeze the box in under the passenger gloe box. Besides that there is no room. The space under the rear bench is worthless. Any sugestiions. I think that placement is key here not more bumpage.

    12"Fi Q vs 12 Type R

Well because the Type R is only rated for 500 watts I dial the amp back to only about 75% and only have my head unit sub setting on 75%. With the Q I should be able to run the amp and head unit at 100% settings. This is where I think I will get the bass output to be louder. How much is the question. Would adding another 12" R be even louder? I want the Q because i'm think I can get somewhat the output of 2 R's from 1 woofer. I can get an R on ebay for $120 and a box for $30. The Q will run $300 so will $150 more get me better results.

    12"Fi Q vs 12 Type R

I understand that the placement is not best. I have no other choice unless I have the sub box share the rear bench with my wife! Do to this limitation I need more volume. Should the Q12 achieve this?

    12"Fi Q vs 12 Type R

I currently have 1 12" Type R hooked up to a pdx 1.1000 in a 1ft2 sealed box. I of course turn down the amp a little. This system is for my boat and do to space limitations the speaker box must go in the engine compartment. When this setup is in my 96 accord the sub is loud. Unfortunatly the engine compartment has sound deadoning material and reduces the volume of the subthat I hear on the boat. So I am looking to get more volume. I am looking at the FIQ 12 to swap out the Type R. I believe the PDX 1.1000 would be a great match and I plan oin using the4. Would the Q give me a big boost in volume? Would I still get the bumpage that my R gives me?
