well thats what im guessing happened but can it be fixed without sending it in to fi?...i don't know what part of the sub is that would need to be fixed -
Jacob youre going to love that Q in a ported box...I hooked up my 15" Q two days ago and it blows my mind how loud it can get even just 1/3 of the volume up on my head unit. My box is tuned to 31 hz and it gets so low in my car..it will be awesome in a blazer...i have a friend who has the same sub in an 18 in a blazer

I am getting the 15" Q w/bp power but my amp is a profile ap2000 and only puts out 960 rms bridged at 4 ohms. How can I hook up another amp so that I have about 1500 rms going to the sub and also some new 6x8's that I will be putting in?
-
Im freaking out...my Q is only two hours away from where I live and I am constantly checking the shipping status...hey we all got red dustcaps but ya I am porting mine as well..it gets much louder that way but sounds great
-
I'll put up a pic as soon as i get it...but it wont be in until the 20th
-
I ordered a Fi Q 15 on Sunday so they must still be building it
-
Thanks Fi! Because I ordered my 15" Q w/bp last night the bp was free and I only had to pay 294 instead of 334. Awesome deal.
-
I would reccomend e-mailing over calling them
-
Great! Thanks guys

Will 12-gauge speaker wires work with a Fi Q 15 D2? I hope so because I already have those wires installed with my current sub which is going to be replaced
-
How overrated are we talking? If the Hifonics says its putting out 1600 rms what is it actually putting out?
-
Yes Johnny each 15" Q will easily take 1500 rms so 3000 watts for two of them sounds great. I wish I had the money to buy two Q's
-
The amp is 2-channel not a monoblock Nvm bridging it at 4ohms makes it mono
-
How would I power the speakers?...I only have a factory head unit so it wouldn't be givin them much Im starting out with two kenwood 6x8's in the front and they are 90 watts rms
-
I am set on buying the bl 15 and my amp is a profile ap2000 but it is only 960 rms so would the bl still bump really hard and not distort? i don't think I'm gonna get any of the options because that would just add to the sub's rms which i don't need
-
Ok, and if i get it with BP Power it could probably take 1300 1400 watts easily right?
-
Whats the rms that u are putting into the Bl and is it fully loaded? I am still trying to decide between the Q or the BL running them at 960 rms any help?
-
I am going to have the sub facing up with a ported box with the port facing back...Do you still think the Q would be better?
-
I guess since i'm not getting the full potential out of the bl with 960 rms then ur right about getting the Q because it still is 1000 rms but better sound quality Thanks Jon.
-
I haven't bought it yet but ya ive looked around for awhile now...i really like aq and re but fi subs are definitely what I am looking for. I debated over the Q or Bl and I know that the Q has better SQ and the Bl is a little louder so I figured I could get a louder sub for the same price I might as well do that
-
I hope so...I'm going from about 350 rms to 1000...its going to be amazing
-
Thanks, I might still do the DMM but the profile amp I have is a quality amp..I read that it lasted some guy through 7 systems..thats pretty good and this will only be the second system it sees

I have never had any experience with extra batteries or alt's so I can't help there but, I could tell you how to wire it from ur battery under the hood to ur amp: I have a 4 gauge EFX amplifier Wiring Kit which I ran through to the battery under the carpet next to the brake and then screwed it onto the top of the battery and attached the ring to the battery's cell connector...from there it all depends on ur amp and sub(s) for how u coonect the wires in the back...
