I've been running 2 of the es12dv.2's off of a Memphis mc1000d. I put in "Late Night Tip". Subs went to flexing. Body panels and windows went to flexing. One of the subs went pop, pop, pop, pop, and quit. Never a burnt smell. Upon further inspection (after removing the sub), the cone was separated from the spider. You could see what I think was the voice coil through the vents on the side. It was in pieces with wires hanging around inside it. Does that sound like maybe it played to loud and low and unloaded? Should I turn my sub-sonic filter up a little more? I'll send it off and get it fixed, makes some adjustments and try it again. I dug the flexing of my Xterra. James

powerbass xa-900d vs memphis mc1000d

That would be nice to have a 3000d, but then I would have to have different subs. I don't think that 2 es12d's would handle that. What I'm thinking about is getting 2 more of the es12d's and 2 xa900d's or another mc1000d. Got some tough decisions to make. Another question, if i wire 3 dvc 4 ohm subs together would that give me 1/3ohm and can the mc1000d burp at that. Thanks Heavyhitter -

Is it possible that the 900 d can out do the memphis amp? Thinking about going all powerbass. Switched from my f-150 to a xterra. 3db jump to a 144.5. Hoping to get better going with all powerbass. Thanks -
Can someone fill me in on "808". New one on me. Thanks, Heavy

I'D LIKE TO KNOW FOR USAC, IASCA, AND MECA. I'VE NEVER BEEN TO A COMP BEFORE, BUT PLAN ON GOING THIS SUMMER. I'M JUST A CONSUMER THAT LIKES TO DO MY OWN INSTALLATION AND BUILD MY OWN BOXES. I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT COMP'S BUT WOULD LIKE TO LEARN. I JUST KNOW WHAT SOUNDS GOOD TO ME. THANKS, JAMES KELLEY HEAVYHITTER

I'll try to put some pics on here Saturday. I wasn't trying to brag on my setup either, I was simply bragging on the POWERBASS product.

I have been running Powerbass subs for a little over a year now and I would have to say that they are the best sounding and hardest hitting subs I have ever used. At fisrt I was running 2 ES10d's in 1.5ft3 per chamber ported in a single cab 98 f150. Pushing 1100 watts through them with a Memphis MC1000D. Hit a respectable 141.7. Sold the 10's to my old man and bought 2 ES12Dv.2's. 2.1ft3 ported per sub in the same truck with the same amp and they drop like its hot. Can't wait to get it mic'd again. Hoping to get over 146 with them. Oh and the Evolution Coaxials and components sound great 2. 5.25 components up front, 6.5 coaxials out back with a Memphis 2004 four channel. Signal is coming from a Kenwood KDC-X889. Best sounding system I've ever had. Hail, Hail POWERBASS!!!!!! Basshead for LIFE, Heavyhitter
