Looking for corrosion resistant M8-M10 Class 12.9s
REVpuggie replied to shizzzon's topic in Automotive and Performance
why 12.9 ? strongest stuff I know of that doesnt rust are studbolts with rolled tread (vs cut) used in the chemical industry, and I'd recommend a tough steel rather than a hard steel (but I'm no exert on this field) I'd contact a company like this http://www.fluidsealingproducts.com/stud_bolts.html -
too bad I havent been following this topic , great build and awesome numbers for the power its on

I also like the idea but using a smartphone ore the likes of it behind the steeringwheel is a 400 dollar fine if they catch you over here (but I'm in europe) ... so I wouln't recommend it to someone to someone where I live ... unless they're not like me ... I'm skipping songs and/or albums all the time .

will be buying forum space, need opinions on products
REVpuggie replied to ak11667's topic in General Audio
my cnc will mainly cut wood and plexi, and ill be able to engrave metal, but not really cut it, i dont have a cooling system built in for cutting metal yet really cool that you own a cnc table for cutting wood .....if only I had the space (and than still I couldn't plot the damn thing to do that I wanted it to do ) I'm not agueing the that its better to have the mid and tweeter close together ... but if than not low in a door and I can't help it eighter that there are so many ill designed coaxial drivers on the market ... -

REVpuggie replied to ak11667's topic in General Audio
completely incorrect. mounting a tweeter close the mid has both its advantages and disadvantages. the same can be said for mounting the tweeter away from the mid. if you would like to discuss this topic post another thread. enlighten me ...did you even read the word "coaxial" ? I fully agree that its better to put tweeter and mid as close together as possible , but not low in a door ........... that just doesnt make sense to me -

REVpuggie replied to ak11667's topic in General Audio
Its not just what you build , but rather HOW you build it ... so lets see some skills ! and regarding those component mounts , please don't encourage people to install those incorrectly , tweeters and mids installed that close together low in a door makes NO sense , you could've just bought coaxial drivers ... tweeters should be high up ... so pods for dash or a-pillar .. strong and ajustustable -
liking the setup and boxdesign !

As far as I can see this is a split-gap design so this is nothing really new .... who would have thought : a buckingmagnet between the gaps ... really innovative -

Looking for a broad band tweeter or broadband to be used above 1Khz
REVpuggie replied to REVpuggie's topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
I think I'm missing something here ... Oh well , I think I'll just buy new ... all I could find were scan-speak out of production discovery and classic line tweeters , some low level cantons and a pair of seas h177 and those I cant find any product info or details on -
Looking for a broad band tweeter or broadband to be used above 1Khz
REVpuggie posted a topic in Subwoofers / Speakers
Hey guys , So , I bwew up one of my tweeters (playing with my x overs while at high volume , I know its stupid!) and since I'm changing I want to adress a annoying door-resonance I've got @ 2,5khz , I've had a peerless 830987 3inch fullrange paired with a 7inch before and I liked it , but I want better/more highs system consists of an Alpine 117r1 along with the h100 processor , an Becker energy400 4x100Wrms amp , AA havoc carbons mounted in the doors and in the back an AA SMD 18d2, 6.2cuft tuned to 27hz at the moment but tuning will change in near future. I've narrowed it down to : tweeters- I can get a pair of Hybrids L1pro pretty cheap I know of a pair of Pioneer TS-S01RSII I might be able to get (but don't yet know what he wants for them) broadband - Markaudio allpair5 or chr70 gen3 silver ... like the allpair5 better but have concerns with powerhandling (on both for that matter) or what else could be recommeded in the 2 to 3inch .... they'll be crossed @ 1khz or higher due to processing and enclosure limitations . any thoughts or ideas ? -
sweet project , wilwood brakes ! and it looks like there will be a fair amount of audio in there or isnt that weldingcable in the third picture ?

I'm in a small country though ... legally its still a bit tricky to purchase abroad inside of europe , if anything went wrong a claim would be difficult ,germans and scandinavians I'd not have that much trouble with ,for the large part of other europeans : I trust them as far as I can throw them . plus its really expensive sending packages abroad . I did find some very cool, really exotic and very rare stuff , just not tweeters, maybe my timing is just wrong . -
did you order a couple of windshields ... you're going to need them ! great stuff !
