If any of you guys like to go fishing, we're having a crazy deal on our freshwater baits right now. Normally Priced at $4.95 per package, you can get them for as low as $3.00 for six packages, or .50 per pack. check it out- http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...4312&ssPageName http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...4534&ssPageName

maybe I'll give it a try then once I get everything up and going. Right now im looking at a 97 sunfire for 2K . Sometimes it sucks being a college student. but ur sure it'll be ok with up to 1000 watts rms? I doubt i'll have the gain turned up that high most of the time, but still... edit: I was thinking about a brahma but IF this sub is as good as everyone's saying i'll have to give it a try. what you think... 12" or 15" ? checked the website. i think $50 more might be worth it for the 15 in a ported box. and uhh.... whats a subsonic filter?

ahh... 2 ohm. right now the amplifier i have is 1 channel and produces 1000 watts@1ohm 600 watts@2ohm and 300 watts@4ohm right now these are the only options that come up on the woofer wiringwizard. doesnt look like my amp is very compatible with these speakers. but then again im not very skilled with this kinda stuff. my amp is a mono subwoofer amp and it has two sets of terminals for the speakers. right now im using the two pos speakers that came with it. theyre 4ohm SVC. anyone know how I could wire up the stereo integrety subs for an ideal amount of power to these subs?

im might be interested in one of these subwoofers once i find a car to put them in  are they SVC or DVC?

How about everyone from FXN post who you are? Im just trying to sort out who I know already. oh yeah, and my username stayed the same.... foolioGrimz

ok thanks man. Like I said, Ive used PS maybe twice. I'll have to look into the text effects. nevermind the evaluation period expired -
hey, i know im a little premature since im still looking for a vehicle to build up , but where can i get a small sheet of plexi to etch for a custom logo? So far ive got most of it planned out. Ive got a pioneer HU, a damn near industructible class D amp thats stable to 1 ohm. Since i took all the stuff out of the X i just need to find another vehicle to put it in, and I plan on building a custom enclosure when i get the car/truck and decide on a subwoofer, right now leaning to one of adire audio's product line. Who know's , maybe once im done i'll even grace the local car show with my presence But for now im still in the planning stages. Could i order plexi online, or do you think there would be any at the local home depot or somethin?

well come buy on the lunch break man right? well too bad Im just working part time normal hours are 1:30-5 or so . but for awhile there i was working 7-8 hours. Its a nice little job for a college student, $7 per hour, nothin special but my boss is bad ass, much better than my previous job back in high school. sorry to hijack the thread, but hey... anyone here like to fish? They make fishing lures there and right now we're trying to get rid of some of our inventory on ebay. there's only a couple auctions now but we should be selling alot more and try to empty the warehouse. 6 packages for $3.00 and usually each package at walmart is like 4 somethin. oh well... my shameless plug for the day

SECOND SKIN SOUND DEADENING, 40% DISCOUNTS
foolioGrimz replied to BENZ230K's topic in SPL & SQ / Fabrication
thats cool man. remind me to give special deals on fishing lures from the company i work for. :boxin: everyone is doing something like that except for me. just too bad I dont work somewhere cool like a car audio store or somethin. -
right? i was on yesterday while taking a break at work and no one was around. oh well... even FXN had to start out like this.
-
just wait till you get a real sub and you will see why people bash sony. neither the spl or sq even compares to most of these subs. that may be true about sony speakers, but theyre good for a first system, and they do sound better than alot of other subs ive heard. Wouldnt call them super subs or anything near that, but they were good for a first time learning to install, and seem to be alot more durable than other "name brand" subs like audiobahn. So they might not compare with something that costs $300 apiece, but for the price, they kick ass.

Amps: 1000-1500 watts under $400
foolioGrimz replied to adirevolvo's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
The Xplod 1200 is a good amp for being a sony. mono amp with 600 watts@2 ohm 1000 watts@1ohm. Crutchfield used to have it with two L1236 subs for $350. It has bass boost, crossover, thermal, protection, and cant remember what else it has but i do remember it had the deal so itd turn off the amp if you were running too much power on the signal. overall its a very solid amp, and has taken alot of abuse but still in perfect condition. -
Ive had a pair of the sony xplod L1236 12"s for about a year. Theyre pretty loud and have so-so SQ, im running 300 watts rms each and dont notice too much distortion when cranked up. Ive set off a car arlarm or two back when i went to school. its a decent first sub for $50 off ikesound
