    The Mag is here.

Will there be a Dual 4 version of the new 12" Mag? I have a Zapco 500.1 (500w @ 2ohms) and would love to try out this new sub. I see the BM fits the bill for my requirements, but how is the SQ of this sub compared to the Mag and Rainbow 12" which is considered very good SQ as well??

    Sundown & Rainbow Together

I recently just purchased a set of Rainbow Germaniums (150w RMS) and a Profi 12" subwoofer (DVC 2ohm - 50~350w RMS). Currently I have eD amps in my car (9.2 & 9.1) and I've heard alot of great things about Sundown amps. The SAX-100.4 caught my eye after seeing pictures of it, but not sure if it's gonna work with my setup. If I run Channels 1-2 to my Germaniums and have Channels 3-4 to my sub (needs to be 2ohm if possible), would this be a possible setup?? I know the Germaniums will not get the power it needs @ 100x2, but if I bridged the 100.4, then that is way too much power for them. Also, how many watts will the Profi sub be getting if I bridged the rear channels? My system is still a work-in-progress, so not sure how I want to power my speakers...

    Sundown & Rainbow Together

sundownz, looking at both amps internals, the SAX-100.2 does seem to look alot better than the NINe.2. Also, do you think using a 100.4 biamped would be a good route to go with the Germaniums? Right now I have the Profi sub running at 2ohms from the NINe.1 (gains set accordingly). I know that is 300w more than the SAE-1000D, but I don't need that much power for my current setup + I like to change things up a bit as well.

    Sundown & Rainbow Together

Or I guess the best thing to do would get a SAX-100.2 to run the Germaniums and a SAE-1000D to run the Profi 12" @ 2ohm. That might be the best setup. Just wondering if the Sundown amps will be an upgrade coming from eD amps??

    My active setup...

It has been stated over at ICIX Nation that the eD Eu-650 mid is slightly better than the CDT HD-62 mid ... maybe little better with the midbass??

    What do you think?

    Chinny, Eric is sending his 15 rl-p only 900w @ 2ohms, not at 1ohm.

    What do you think?

I think with a ported setup and that much power, I have a strong feeling those subs can't take 1250w on a daily basis ... maybe sealed, but definetly not ported. Still looking at blowing the subs even in a sealed enclosure. IMO, if you want to use that Orion amp, just bite the bullet and wait for the RL-s subs or get a different amp.

    SoundSplinter LMT sub

The RL-p series has used dual 7.5" x 1" magnets in the past. The newer Premium 15's and the group buy 12 D2's are using tripple 7.5" x 0.75" magnets. The Supreme drivers will use quintupled 7.5" x 0.75" magnets. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm assuming with this info regarding the new RL-s subs, they will require a bigger box than the old/newer Rl-p subs. Doubling the magnet size will be a sight to be seen. Can we count on the size in relation to a 12 or 13 W7??

    SoundSplinter LMT sub

SoundSplinter, about how much bigger is the magnet on the RL-S series sub compared to the RL-P series. Also, I currently have a 1cF sealed box and was wondering if the 12" driver will be adequate for this box size. Looks like eD's Av.2 will take awhile before it comes out and was also considering Sound Splinter's RL-S 12" sub as well. At the moment, I have a 13Ov.2 (D2) off of a NINe.1, but would like to have a 'super sub' as well.

    SoundSplinter LMT sub

Can you direct us to this thread over at Car Audio Forum.com? I would like to know what his other 3 choices were.

    Rl-p 15 and ed nine.1

I doubt that part highly as same day delivery could cost as much as $200 a package. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What I meant to say, whenever eD receives the NINe.1s, they will ship it out to customers that particular day. Sorry to confuse anyone else.

According to eD's newsletter today, they expect to ship out the NINe.1s on Thursday, May 5th (same day delivery).
