I don't compete and would like a SQ/LOUD SOUND QUALITY setup and am having the hardest time designing a box to use. Obviously Fi recommends a sealed enclosure and that's what I was going to do originally until I started playing around in WinISD. Now I'm completely unsure so I figured I'd ask you guys. How do you guys think a 12" Fi Q would sound in a 2.3 cu ft enclosure tuned to 24-25hz as opposed to a 1.3 cu ft sealed enclosure? I can't upload the WinISD output on my current connection but I will after midnight when I get home.

I'm putting a 225 amp alternator into my car and I'm using 0 gauge for my big 3 upgrade. Bigger is always better especially if you ever plan to change your system at a later date. For you, I would recommend 2 gauge for the big 3 but it's up to you. I don't know anything about your stock alternator. Ground should always be the the same size or bigger than the power wire.

My stock alternator maxes at 105 amps so 1500w rms would severely strain my electrical system. Upgrading the big 3 only helps if the wiring is limiting what your alternator can put out.

Here is a quote from an owner who ran some tests: Here is a quote from the owner of AudioQue about the 5% rating: Here is another quote from a different owner: Source As far as performance for the money, I still recommend the AudioQue.

I think what he's saying is that a lot of amps use the same internal components as other amps yet they have completely different reputations, not because they are different, but because people are stupid.

The electrical system in my car rarely fluctuates below 14.4v so this really isn't a problem for me. I sometimes forget people don't upgrade their electrical system.

Audioque amps are solid and for the price, they are damn hard to beat unless you go used. It's a lot better than resorting to a Hifonics, at least in my opinion.

If you plan on running the sub at 1 ohm, I recommend looking into the Audioque 1200D. It's a good SQ oriented amp and will push the sub at it's rated power handling. It's also a pretty small profile amp. Check it out.
