I have a 12'' Q with Bp and its powered by a hifonics 1208d. I was wondering if the amount of cubes made it sound different. I know it does but how much. I wanted to go with a 2.5^3 tuned to 32 hz. The only problem with this is idk if i will have the space. So would 2 cubes sound any different and how?

This is going to be going into my ext cab f150. I have another thread on here about the box that the guy wants to build me. Im getting it put in monday....i will update you guys and let you know how it goes. PS: I CANT WAIT!!!

I have an 12'' Fi Q coming soon and i needed a box and i dont have time to do one myself so i went to the local audio shop to ask him what would be the best option. The owner actually held the loudest street car for two years in a row fyi....but I drive an f150 and i have a spilt rear seat. I wanted to take out the smaller section and have the box in that area so it wouldnt take up room for my passengers. His plans for my box is to have the sub face the floor of my truck as well as the port facing the floor. It will eventually exit out the side (meaning the port). He says that it will have the right cubes and hz. He says that when the sub faces down, it will shorten the wave which will make it sounds better in my truck.... I have never heard of this before but he really sounds like he knows what he is talking about. Help me out here, is he BSing? *sorry if it is hard to understand, its hard to describe especially since i have never heard of this *

well he said he can do it to what ever i want. I was thinking around 2.3 cubes @ 32 hz

I have a 12'' Q dual 2 ohm and it will be wired down to one ohm. I have a hifonics bxi1208d powering it. I wanna make sure i get my settings right on my amp. Where should i set the SSF at and the low pass at? Also since my HU has 4 volt output, should i set my level to 4 volt? As for the box, what hz should i have it tuned to. I listen to mainly rap and deathmetal...yeah i know complete opposites haha any suggestions will be greatly appreciated :)

i just ordered my 12'' Q w/ the Bp option. I have a hifonics bxi1208d and i was wondering if the sub is going to take more power now that i got the option. I mean the option was free so i thought why the heck not. Is it going to be underpowered? I know hifonics is overrated but i dont have the cash for sundown, audioque, ect. thanks for the help!!
