Ive been patiently waiting on some specs for the xcon 15". Just wish you guys would hurry up and post them on the website. Thanks.

http://reaudio.com/speaker_box/LPort_Box_Calc.html Here is a good ported box calculator. I would port both 10's if you could. Should be a hell of alot louder. And it should be more efficient.
-
Your hearing loss is rising....
-
2.6 cuft would be the best one. More lowend. High end wouldnt be as prominent but it will be there and sound good.
-
The 2 10 ssd's will be louder with the information you have given us.
-
Right now with my setup im hitting lows like i want and high notes pretty well. Sounds really good also! Im VERY impressed with this speaker/box setup. 3.70 cuft tuned 30 hz 15"SSD. Cant get no better then that^ 8========D~~~~

Exactly right! He's expecting to much out of 1 12"

Your comparing 2 speakers agaisnt the one which doesnt have enough cone area to beat as hard as those L7's. Maybe the BTL gave you impressions that it was going to knock very hard before you even bought it. Which it will knock hard but your comparing it to something that cant be beat with normal setups.

this isnt me doubting you, its more just me wanting to learn... but why would you flip the box around if you ported al three? is it because you would need more room for the ports to fit on the same side as the box? From test's done the waves are more in phase with each other. read this. http://installer.com/tech/aiming.html That is why i would aim them backwards.
-
I would port all 3 if i could. Less power to push them if they are in a good size box. Get a heck of alot louder. And still get very low. Id fire them backwards toward the trunk also.
-
I would port it first to see if it gets louder. Which im sure it will by a long shot. Then go from there. Ported is a very different machine imo.

I have a SSD 15" ported 3.7 cuft tuned around 30 hz and i couldnt be happier. Loud as heck and gets very low. I tried it sealed and was not happy one bit. It wasnt very loud, got pretty low. I changed it back out into the ported box the same day. I think you will be very surprised at how much more output you will get and i think you'll love it!

I have an FI SSD 15". Im a fan of FI. More comparable testing of the drivers is a must in my opionion. I need to know why im spending more money on a driver that has this " 11.25" high flux motor and 8 layer flat wind voice coil" and this "chamfered pole or patent pending heli-cool". IF i were a new customer i wouldnt know what that does or is.
-
But as being a NEW customer who wants to go searching around when it can be efficiently taken care of via the website.

I think you guys at FI need more descriptive information on each speaker. On how each driver reacts to different enclosures and how each driver compares to another. If i was a new customer coming to your site i wouldnt know which woofer would suite my needs just with the information provided on the website. Im not trying to bash you guys in any way. Just more info would be good. Thanks James
