welding wire?
CBFryman replied to pimpedout97x's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Weldingsupply wont be getting much business from me anymore unless I need a certian ammount of wire and have 9 days to wait for it. Not because of bad service, just that there is cheaper, better quality elsewhere. I'm not impressed at all with their $2 terminal lugs that I can get for $0.60 at Home Depot. -
I had about Infinity... or 6k. Edit: The DJ guy looks like he is DeeJaying for the Damian Marley I'm playing.

BM's are $240 and $280 10" and 12" respectively. I dont recall the Mag MSRP but once I find it I will post it.

As far as I know soundstream is good stuff. However I have not used any soundstream amps. Hifonics makes great budget amps....and then overpriced competition quality amps. If you want SQ and a lot of power look into our very own sundown. I have their SAZ-1500D and IMO it is superior to the USamps MD2D in every way. It is one of the highest quality amps I've used.

Not a bad score at all comming out of a trunk! And yes, these amps are beasts.

I geuss I kinda contradicted myself up there. No I think the strand counts are really close after looking back at it today. Just caught that. -

x2 I've never had a bad experence with weldingsupply.com. However, as long as that guy is selling wire on eBay and I need a large ammount that is where I will go. Even after he rose his price it is still almost $1 cheaper than weldingsupply.com after they add shipping. -
I dont really have a favorite. If I had to choose I would say FloridaSPL.com. No cliques, no drama, no BS...just a bunch of Fla/Ga guys/gals talking about SPL and what not.

welding wire?

No, the two are deffanitely different. Weldingsupply.com is only one case, this has two casses (a plastic inner and neoprene/rubber like outer) and the eBay stuff is by large more flexable. The strand count looks to be about the same, individual strands are the same size by eye so it is deffanitely the caseing that is making the flexability difference. I have eBay left over and I got weldingsupply.com for my friend and I paid more for the weldingsupply.com wire. However weldingsupply.com is by the foot and I only needed 15 feet where as I have plans to use the full 50ft in my truck. I like the eBay stuff a lot more. I will get comparison pics up after I get off of work. The Towncar is here so I'm installing the head unit and running wire today. Hooray, my favorite part of installation...not. -
That's a pretty decent price IMO. A cracked dust cap is strictly cosmetic minus a little bit of leaking you might get between the front and back sides of the cone. A 12" XXX will be perfect for the Mini IMO.

somewhere in the low $200 range high $100 rangeish is what I'd pay if I was looking for one. If you are looking to sell I'd reccomend you post it for $240 and if you dont get hits change it to OBO.

I got the same suff VJ did. It's more flexable than Weldingsupply.com wire and has a higher stand count. It's almost as flexable as hyperflex...though hyperflex is a deffanite winner and is thicker (kicker is almost 2/0 IIRC). It's good stuff, better than a lot of ''car audio'' wire IMO. -
Hifonics, though great amps for the money, are not the best for SQ. If you are not planning on pushing the amp to its full power potential distortion will stay tame. However I will reccomend you look elsewhere.

Anything you do to fix is probably wont be very pretty. I'd reccomend getting some epoxy and filling the crack.

Going to get some practice in sometime this week. Built the girl a new box just so I could practice carpeting. People keep asking me if I can build a carpeted box for them and I dont feel comfertable selling htem my not so good carpeting jobs. Practice makes perfect. I'll post results if they arent too bad.

Lets just say, here in the US, when girls have a really dark tan, they generally have sandy blonde hair, which is hot, not platinum blonde hair, which only guys have...if you know what I mean. The one in the pink/tearing cloths is hot though. -

Ive been meaning to call up some people and see about a bunch of us 2007 Seniors roll down to Orlando Watersports Complex around that time. It would be hella cool if we could go ahead and have an Audio meet at the coolest place in Orlando during the day time and sometimes even at night. I would be willing to call OWC and even travle down there (i go about once a month anyway) and see what it would take. I dont know how many of you wakebaord or waterski but they also have paint ball and Mini MotoX and a snack bar with a nice deck and tables and what not and the pro shop if you want to pick up some swagage. Jl 500/1 with coponents
CBFryman replied to bweber721's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
I highly doubt the 500/1's class D circutry is capeable of producing anything over 500Hz with any sort of decently low THD or dampening factor. -
The guy I work with has one, just an SE though. He has put 100,000 miles on it (2nd owner) and only had to replace the alternator and fix the AC once. It is still running strong at 160k. Good buy mang.

sony's new bluetooth enabled headunit
CBFryman replied to mrray13's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
Will it answear the phone for you? That would be the only reason I would want it. OEM bluetooth like quality. Of course I dont have a BlueTooth enabled phone so it doesnt make a lick of difference. -
