SPECIAL PROMOTION: SoundSplinter + USAmps Packages
CBFryman replied to SoundSplinter's topic in SoundSplinter
My buddy is interested in the SQ package but he just dropped $1500 on rims and tires and another $500 on suspension for his Tibby so he is going to wait a while before a stereo.' -
I'm not worried. BTW, E-mail me some updates on it if there are any.
-
and by small differences they mean completely different soft parts which have absolutely no effects on output or sound quality... Same motor platform, different specs. Most of the differences will be in space requirements and powerhandleing.

I think ive got it. Double baffl,e single everywhere else, 4 rods of all thread connecting the front and back baffle. Two for the sides andthee or four for the top and bottom. Resoning the inside and rounding all corners. 4.5cuft@34Hz will be the starting volume/frequincy and what ever I end up after time on the mic. Shortening hte port inch by inch untill I see a steady drop then porting to the loudest frequincy. I wish I was allowed to remove interior panels

which one?
CBFryman replied to pimpedout97x's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical
next time I talk to the GF's uncle ill ask him exactly what amp he is running. I am pretty sure he said a sound stream something, 10kw when he turns the regualtor up to 17v. -
F3 of 27Hz with a 22dB/Octave slope. WinISD FTML.
-
I'm getting a crazy high F3 in WinISD. Either WinISD is homo or I need to look at a bigger box. IBTF.
-
I'm glad my amps are out of sight though. I'md deciding on a finish too. Epoxy with a speckle or the standard truck bed. Maybe I should go for carpeting once.
-
So if i run a tripple front and a double back and single everywhere else, resin and all thread and figure out how to brace that damn port when it has daily tuning (gonna be like 25" long) I end up with a 44" long box. The truck is 53" wide...damn it.
-
Nice pics M5...photo shop the one with the celulite ass next time though.
-
maybe I'll go double on the back too since its large, the rest are kinda skinny so I dont know how much I will gain by going double anyway besides loosing space.
-
I still may go tripple baffle though.
-
The port breathing is my main concern, I dont want to make hte box a funky shape (fitting the tranny hump and the seat mounts) so if i go double layre i'll be adding a lot of length to the box. 8" port and I want to give it at least 10" of breathing room.
-
I should E-Mail Nick and see if I can get a Stereo Integrity sticker for my truck... oops, did I say too much?
-
I'm thinking the later. Anyone need a box made now that I have a ton of extra MDF?
-
Hmmmm, decisions decisions... Should I double up MDF and save money on bracing but kill space (and possibly make the box too long for the port to breath effectively) or should I do single MDF, resin and and brace with 1/2" all thread?
-
I'm going to be able to mount my amps/cross overs/etc under the box and run all of the wire under the carpet. It's also going to free up sitting room and storage room....
-
My truck is going to get a lot cleaner looking and a lot louder soon.
-
Doubleing power will only gain you 3dB....so unless you plan on compeating I wouldnt worry about the sonic difference. They will get a tad louder and a tad lower as the become fully broken in.
-
Dude, that sucks...dont get that chit on my IS2080 that should have been there a few days ago. I dont want none of that.
